Predict the endeavor to crown gem conversion rate for buying items from crown crates.

I'm hoping the conversion rate will be reasonable, but I've thought ZOS would be reasonable before and was dead wrong. What do you think it will be?

I was under the impression that the seals could only be used to buy crown crate items?

Also the conversion doesn't matter much as we don't know how many seals we will get for activities or what the items will cost so it's two variables we don't really know.

The best equivalent we have now would be crown gems. Assuming a similar value, that would be 400 seals for a standard apex mount. At that rate, I'd think that 50 seals per week would be 8 full weeks for a mount. That would be the lowest total weekly amount I'd think would be fair to award to people that do all the available activities every day.

Gems will always be better than seals in value.

If you mean how much will items be in seals. I doubt it would take less than 2 months to earn enough for a single mount...the basic kind.

On the PTS you could earn about 80 seals per week. I think it was 83 when I tested.

But on the PTS at that point you could also port to a different zone to get a new set of dailies and port back to the first zone to reset them and keep earning seals ad infinitum... maybe they fixed that.

Ahhhh, my bad. You're absolutely right. I meant crown gems. Unfortunately, I'm unable to alter the individual poll questions. So, when you see the word crowns, think crown gems!

I'm thinking it's in ZOS best financial interest to make the endeavor seals a huge grind just like almost everything else has been lately. Sure, you can get things with endeavor seals, but my guess is it's going to take a very long time to get it. At the end of the day, they still want players to spend real money on crowns and buy crown crates to get the stuff they want.

It looks like you can get 10 endeavors a day + 100 for the weekly, for about 170 a week total. I think the cheapest stuff available will start around 500.

10:1 would already be unreasonable, all the other options in your poll would be plain absurd.

I actually think it'll be around 1:1. I know this is optimistic and I understand why most people think otherwise, but I think they want even the top things to be technically possible, and 1:1 would make a single radiant at the end of 3 months maybe barely possible. Anything worse than a single radiant over two seasons undermines the supposed purpose of this, as well as make this:
don’t forget that you can acquire all of these new items with the new Seals of Endeavor currency (although you may need to save some up first)
a lie, since the named items include the radiants and go away in 3 months.

I think you'll be able to get a Radiant Apex mount from each season if you do your Endeavors religiously. Certainly, Apex mounts will be in reach.

Why? Because this is the workaround for "It's totally not gambling, we swear, please don't regulate us." It's a bad look if players can't get access to certain categories of items by in-game effort except over multiple seasons. Now, ZOS could take the cop out that players can save up Seals for when those crates return in future sales and thus increase the value of Radiant Apex to require saving over several seasons...but it's still a cop out.

Edit: we don't know the weekly seal amounts, but so far the cop out "Save up for future sales on radiants" seems to be the approach ZOS went with.

I'm guessing after ESO store and account system maintenance? That's supposedly from 10 AM - 12 PM. But, they could also go live after daily resets, maybe? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

its a gem conversion, not a crown conversion.

"This new currency will then allow you to acquire any of the collectibles or items from currently available Crown Crates in the Seals section of the in-game Crown Store."

Currently it costs 400 gems to get a apex mount, and the daily endeavor reward is 10 and the weekly reward is 96. You'd be able to earn 1 mount at a 1:1 ratio in 21 days (98 x 3 = 294 + 210 (21 days = 514 endeavors.

Now, if it is less, than 1:1, worse case 10:1 it would take 4000 endeavors to reach an apex mount so that would be 24 weeks = 2352 endeavors + 168 days = 1680 ; 2352+1680 = 4032 endeavors.

24 weeks is half a year btw.

even 10 seals for one gem sounds like a bit much. I'm hoping that spending a about week to get a 16 gem item is as bad as its going to get. at 6 seals per day with was it 10 seals for weekly? I think? lets go with 52 max seals per week. I'd say 4 seals = 1 gems would be a reasonable assumption (which also means it would take about 31 weeks or about 7.5 months to be able to buy a single apex mount). but... I could be wrong and it could be much worse. guess we will find out soon enough.

max daily endeavor reward is not 10 seals, its 6. you cannot finish all the available endeavors, you can only finish 3, you just have variety of options as to which 3. same for weekly, - you have several options to pick from but you cannot do them all. so your math is a bit off.

They say it will vary from day to day and week to week, but essentially you are correct, we wont be able to do all the ones listed. So even at 1:1 it will take at least a month (or more) to gain an apex.

I honestly, genuinely doubt that they will make it possible to get an apex that quickly. half a year of maxing out your seals to get a single apex mount? i can see that as maybe a possibility. but a month? no way. this is the company that started limiting ouroboros crates to one per weekend streaming event. not one per day. one per event, even if that even takes several days. and on average you only get about 5 gems per crate and drops are not even active all the time. they are not going to make it easy for people to just skip buying crates all together and still get a decent chunk of crate items. the only question is just how difficult are they going to make it.

It gives people another reason to grind if they're burned out on the current reasons (Motif hunting, achievements, housing, money, etc)

Personally I think its great and I'll probably do the max each day until it becomes too time consuming to keep it up.

I don't participate or follow crate happenings so I may have misunderstood but didn't they raise the new tinsel mount price to way more than 400 gems already?

Edit: I stand corrected, Radiant Apex mounts were not available for gems before they added them for 1200 - 2500 gems price.

I think most likely you won't be able to get a radiant in the same season you start working on the endeavors. But this will be mitigated in the long run because as you save up more endeavors, it will be easier to get the things you want most from the current season.

The Apex mounts have remained 400 gems. What they did was add the three radiant apex mounts to be available for gems: 1200, 1600, and 2500. Those weren't raised prices, those were previously not available for gems.

It will be just high enough so that there are still people who will choose to buy crates rather than save up endevours.
If the endevours price is too low no one will ever buy crates again and they won't allow it.

I reckon you will be able to buy 1 radiant mount from each season or 1 apex mount every 2 seasons if you choose to save up and complete 98% of all available daily/weekly quests.

I am worried this might make them put less desirable stuff in the crates and sell more items for crowns (that can only be bought with real money). If they're smart they're gonna do this very gradually

Came here to check now that the daily endeavors are live and laughed so hard at how many people have voted for "I'm just here to watch the the player melt down once they see the endeavor to crown conversion rate." that I scared my poor cat :D

Anyway, they seem 10x what the values were on pts, not that that means anything yet.

Today's daily endeavors give 20. No way to know if they've rescaled compared to PTS, or if it's a first day bonus, or because of the lack of weekly. They were not the same amount every day on PTS anyway.
