My bomber was a Khajiit wearing VD, Mech Acuity, and Balorgh with two swords (one Nirnhoned, one Sharpened) and using the shadow Mundus.

Is this still a viable build after all the changes or are people rocking different stuff now? Mostly curious about the weapons and whether to use 2 swords, 2 axes, a greatsword, or a greataxe.

I'm still using Mech, bal and vd with 2 swords (nirn+sharp). Only change I did was added shimmering frenzy + spelldamage mundus instead of shadow. Still works on repairers, flags and wayshrines when they aren't spamming aoe to reveal or full healing.

There's probably better setups now but I'm to cheap atm :<

I've been using acuity, vd and balorgh on a high elf with two swords the last few days and it's been stronger imo this patch so far. I have one infused with two BT on the jewels and I hit a 19k vd proc today in cp. The standard bomb blade build still works perfectly fine.

Since they re-instated proc sets, Bombers are back. They were gone for months but I got hit , from one of the bombers on my server, with a whopping VD blast. Now I am "reminded" to watch for them again

Honestly Bombers are always the same. VD, Mechanical Acuity, Balorgh, and yes they do work, I saw a few very nice bombers since Procs returned to Cyro with all the buffs to Damage they hit harder than ever. Also if you run Mechanical Acuity, you can drop all other critbuffs and maybe get a slot for Simmering Frenzy, if you want to be a vampire. Afterall bombing is usually a suicide mission anyway.

You don't need VD if you don't like it.

Balorgh + Mechanical + Saxhleel Champion. Yeah, Sax is a trial set but all you need is the 5 piece.

A lot of ppl i know really enjoyed bombing without VD and 20 percent extra crit dam isn't anything to scoff at.

You don't need VD to kill.

People been killing full groups without VD for two months. VD is easy but not necessary.

I just tried two axes on Xbox on my Khajiit Mechanical Acuity / Shadow Mundus bomber on my cluster of target dummies(still Flames of Ambition patch at present), and the damage of my skills were very very similar but with swords very slightly better.

Where I'll be getting 2% more crit damage per axe tomorrow though, I'll have to test again. I've gotta see how much of a tradeoff it would be with damage gain on proxy/soul tether/sap essence vs. a potential lower VD proc value.

I have two friends who hate vd. I watched them destroy groups all last night without it. It's harder for sure.

I use Acuity body pieces (divines with shadow mundus). Balorgh monster set. Saxheel Inferno staff/Jewelry pieces, for that Major Force buff. Yeah I paid a lot of gold during trial runs just to get the right Saxheel pieces. Major force man, it’s so good, no Vicious death needed. I would have used dual wield sax but 5 people got inferno staff when I ran the trial so I just worked with that.

If you want to build 500 ult points without revealing your location, you’ll need to pop heroism pots. The pots are expensive though.
