Can't see companion's staff properly at outfit station

With the staff on their back and no way of unsheathing it, I can't see the top of the staff (the important part) in order to be able to apply the right motif. This will also be problematic with daggers and such if we can't see what they look like in a battle stance. Can we have an option to draw their weapons at the station?
PC NA, CP2200+. Character creation is the true endgame.

✭Yep, having to try them out on me isn't quite the same considering I'm a black-haired female Breton in Nighthollow and he's a red-haired male Imperial in the Falkreath Thane costume, even if the colour scheme is the same.
Another question - why is his staff constantly on fire? All the Bastians running around look like they're carrying a massive torch on their backs. I changed the style but it's still flaming. Is that on purpose?PC NA, CP2200+. Character creation is the true endgame.0 -

✭✭Maybe try having someone nearby you cast Radiating Regeneration or something else that will buff or heal your companion? For players, that often forces you to draw your weapon even in an outfit station.PC NA1 -

Apologies for the necro, but this is the first thread that comes up while Googling this issue. This problem with being unable to see companion's staffs at stations is not fixed and, sadly, the regeneration trick does not work as a solution.0
