What is the point of leveling research on more than one character?

Besides just not having to "log" on to your crafter or just being OCD lol is there a point? My main is master of all skills and keep getting the instant research scrolls in daily rewards which I just delete. Am I missing something as to why I would want to level up on other toons? Thanks all.

I think it doesn't make any sense. If my alt finds a lead, I'll dig it out another time with my main, the antiquity specialist.

Edit: just recognize that I missed the point, somehow related the question on levelling antiquity search...

More research knowledge means more master writs on those characters if they do daily writs.

And also, the mentioned not having to fight the "load screen boss" which is quickly becoming the hardest boss to defeat in ESO.

Tenacious Dreamer - Hurricane Herald - Godslayer - Dawnbringer - Gryphon Heart - Tick Tock Tormenter - Immortal Redeemer - Dro-m'Athra Destroyer
The Unchained - Oathsworn - Bedlam's Disciple - Temporal Tempest - Curator's Champion - Fist of Tava - Invader's Bane - Land, Air, and Sea Supremacy - Zero Regrets - Battlespire's Best - Bastion Breaker - Ardent Bibliophile - Subterranean Smasher - Bane of Thorns - True Genius - In Defiance of Death - No Rest for the Wicked - Nature's Wrath - Undying Endurance - Relentless Raider - Depths Defier - Apex Predator - Pure Lunacy - Mountain God - Leave No Bone Unbroken - CoS/RoM/BF/FH Challenger

I do it on all my characters, even though doing daily writs is something I frequently skip because even my OCD gets bored with all the logging.

Being able to do writs on more than just your main crafter, mainly. If you don't need the extra gold, surveys or master writs for vouchers, there isn't a great need.

There are a few bonuses to leveling your crafting skills on multiple characters:
    -Extra 2-5k gold per toon
-Don't have to log to other toon to transmute/craft gear in the trait you want
-More at level mats from gathering nodes (nodes have 50/50 chance of spawning at your lvl vs crafting lvl)
-More each toon knows (traits, blue/purple/gold recipes, alchemic/glyph knowledge) the higher chance of getting master writs.
-More chances at gold upgrade mats
-Certain events give you rewards for crafting. These usually include motifs and recipes.
-More chances at getting master writs = more xp, gold, and vouchers to get more recipes, housing stuffs, motifs, xp potion mats.
