Finding Levelling Up Very Slow

Hi guys. Ive taken clothing for my medium armour and blacksmithing so I can primarily make some decent daggers. My character has just hit level 21 yet my clothing skill is at 8 and blacksmithing at 7. Ive put points into metal working, extraction and temper expertise for blacksmithing, and unravelling and tanning expertise for clothing.
I am deconstructing everything but finding the levelling up very slow. I can see my crafted armour always being worse than what I have found dropped in the world.
Can anyone tell me what Im doing wrong and what is the best way to speed up my crafting levelling process?

That's quite odd. You should be much higher if you are deconning and researching everything you can. That should have put you at least to level 14. You can find a craft leveling partner to trade items to deconstruct, you usually get more from that than deconstructing your own items. Greens and blue deconstruction will also get more in return than whites.0 -
jaket1980Soul ShrivenI've got a lv42 sorc with woodworking and clothing around 30 each. I mainly did this through deconing, finding some good hunting grounds for medium armor mats, and generally just spending some time finding good areas to farm other mats. I just recently found a buddy around my level to trade crafted goods back and forth with for deconing, which helps alot.0

jaket1980Soul ShrivenAt 21, you must be selling an aweful lot to not have your crafting levels higher. Decon everything, even wood. you can sell the mats for a good price to other players.0

Salsadoom✭✭✭You said the crafting is worse than you are finding...that is odd. Bychance are you aware that you can add more ingots to increase the level of your armor?0

< At level 17, I have Enchanting, Alchemy and Provisioning 20+. I simply make a lot of the best stuff + junk top keep them ahead of my level. Make sure to put skill points into your crafting!0

✭read "open" all the bookshelves u see, some of them gives you lvl gain in craft as well in weapons0 -
Oevaag_Bur✭✭Are you de-constructing your own stuff out of curiosity ? ie. the stuff you make. You get 8x the xp from de-constructing other peoples/found items than you do from your own. Find yourself a crafting buddy and things should go much faster for you
