Very slow download speeds with ESO launcher

I took a little break from ESO and when I opened the launcher yesterday to download the patches, they were downloading at speeds of 300 kb/s and less, usually steady at around 200 KB/s.

This is extremely low compared to other downloads I've done on the likes of Steam, where the speed is usually steady at 36MB/s

The issue still persists after trying this method, any help would be greatly appreciated

UPDATE: I have tried using a VPN to download from the launcher, and my download speed is now at 11.50 MB/s.

So the issue must be with my connection to the ISP.

For others who might wander by with the same problem... Where are you located, generally, and who is your ISP?

I am located in the UK, and my ISP is Virgin Media.

I was having the same issue with speeds while downloading a game through Origin last week, but didn't try the VPN method to see if it fixed that too.

Have you tried contacting your ISP so they can check and test your current connection?
