Assassinating an enemy with Mirri yields negative Rapport

I don't know for certain if this is a bug, but it most certainly seems so. Mirri doesn't seem to be opposed if you kill hundreds of enemies whilst you're with her, but the moment you shank an enemy with the Dark Brotherhood Skill, her rapport decreases. To me that just seems... silly in a sense. It eliminates the RPG aspect of stealthing past with your companion and taking out enemies on the way with the Blade of Woe. I guess one way to explain her aversion to you assassinating people is because of the brutality that the Dark Brotherhood deals in, but then again, I don't think a seasoned adventurer would have such aversion to an enemy being offed from the shadows, reducing the danger that both you and your companion are in. At the end of the day, you end up killing anyone that's your enemy anyways.

I agree, and the notes from PTS users seem to suggest that it should only cause a decrease in rapport if used against innocents.

"Just to be clear, Mirri, you don't care if I one-shot an enemy soldier from stealth with my bow?"

    "No."

"And you don't care if I leap on an enemy soldier from ambush when they weren't expecting it and cut them in half with my greatsword?"

    "No?"

"And you don't care if I sneak up to a group of enemy soldiers and cast Eye of the Storm, burning them alive where they stand?"

    "Er, no? They're the enemy."

"Then why do you care if I sneak up behind the enemy and cut their throat with no one the wiser?! They're dead either way!"

"It makes you look like an assassin!"

*mutters* "She's got more morals than the Thieves Guild. They didn't care that I murdered my way through their quests."

That gave me a good laugh!

To be fair, I'm surprised she's not fascinated by this, since the Blade of Woe is basically a Daedric(?) artifact after all. Or maybe that's the problem for her?

Seems intentional, the Blade of Woe is not a 'nice' way to go, she should be horrified by it

I know you're trying to find logic in her thinking but this the same game where we run around with a clannfear/scamp and a twilight.

Summoning a lesser daedra and killing someone with the Blade of Woe are not the same.

Almost anyone talented in conjuration can summon a scamp or a clannfear

That's what I'd think. You're basically flaunting "Hey I'm in a daedric cult and sending souls directly to Sithis."

Mirri gives you negative rapport if you use the blade of woe or go into the DB sanctuary with her active.

Yep, Mirri is interested in what makes people join cults, but she doesn't worship the daedra. Plus her introductory quest
features her and her brother nearly getting sacrificed by a daedric cult, so she's understandably not thrilled with seeing someone's soul sent to Sithis.

Yeah, but when I drain someone's corpse of blood in the most horrific manner she's fine with it. Something is up with that...

She also doesn't care if you kill a dragonfly or a fetcherfly, there are alot of inconsistencies in the companion personalities.

I think it would make more sense to add blood sucking instead of removing Blade of woe though.

Unfortunately can still confirm this. It doesn't mae ANY sense whatsoever to loose rapport with Mirri if your ganking evil/hostile NPCs in dungeons and out in the wilderness. That was the whole point of the Undaunted dally where you take out the Red Rook bandits quest. You end up loosing a lot of good karma you've put time into investing for no logical reason at all

The joke on this is I accidentally acitvated my DK level IV standard while trying to equip Mirri with the new epic gear I just bought her. We were stilling standing next to the guild vendor I'd just purchased it from. With several other vendors and NPCs in close proximity. All hell from The Three predictably broke loose when Murphy's Law happened. Ended up having to flee the town from a batallion of enraged guards and NPCs. When we finally got to a safe distance. I checked Mirri's rapport bar. Despite KILLING several NPCs in the accident, her disposition hadn't moved a tick.

ZoS really needs to address this game mechanic inconsistency in the next patch

Maybe because by using the BoW, you are sending souls to sithis damning them for eternity? The only thing worse would probably be getting stuffed into a black soul gem and being used to power an enchant therefore sending you to the soul cairn to the ideal masters. What kind of sane (even half way sane) person would be okay with that?
