I am reading this forum activelly and more and morw just see ppl saying how updates destroyed content and that game is going towards comercial pay for win.

So I thought, there will be the release of Blackwood, and if it would be illegal suggest here to not buy it to call ZOS attention towards fandom, their costumers and costumer feedback? So I couldnt find in the rules if boykot it is illegal

I have a feeling this thread will be closed quicker than you can spell skooma.
    Total ESO playtime: 8325 hours
    ESO plus status: Cancelled
    ESO currently uninstalled.

The forum is mostly filled with ESO's "Karens". This forum is basically ESO's dirty back alley where everyone goes to take a *** after they've been to the club. You'll encounter the occasional drunk or junky that screams loud, but everyone just ignores them. That's the forums.

Basically nothing posted here is an overwhelming community opinion. It's just a little echo chamber. Don't worry about it.

Once I wrote some thoughts directly to ingame costumer sercive, and they said to write it in forum, it should mean that they read the forum, no?

Seriously though, I've seen tons of people talking about how they won't purchase new chapters or cancel their sub, you should be fine. Just don't call for a boycott openly.

You personally can boycott ZOS by not playing the game. What other players do with their money shouldn't concern you.

Well, i didnt call for boycotting, I was asking if asking such a quation goes against community rules

Not sure about the legality of it... but I guess ZOS wouldn’t like someone actively calling for others to boycott their product on the official forums. Buy or don’t buy it’s an individuals choice. Personally I think companions isn’t a system that everyone can get behind and scream “**** Yeah!”, but it’s another zone and more content for a game I love.

Against forum rules, no matter how you spell "boycott"

That said, I want to get something in before they lock this.

The forums are the center of all fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Only a tiny fraction of the players even come here, and we tend to act as a sounding board. We amplify things, often times well beyond what is healthy.

What is said in here does not really reflect the total player population.

Play the game. Ignore the forum.

Honestly, ZOS couldn't care less about you calling for that. You are just one person and they are not dependant on you and you hardly have enough influence on others. Also there is always people claiming to cancel ESO Plus and not buying the chapter and a few days later they have bought it all.

Everyone has to understand that companies dont make games because they like players so much, they make them to make money. The forums are a loud, but small minority of the game. There are many players that never come here and ZOS very likely has data on the player activity and on what activities players do in game. To make money they try to get the game into a position where it appeals to as many players as possible. Effectively ZOS is not destroying content, they just shape the game in the way they think it should be. This happens to be not the direction everyone would agree on, which is natural.

So this opens another quation: How ZOS gets costumer feedback?

ZoS asks for and receives feedback in a variety of ways. Back in Morrowind testing (iirc) they sent around a questionnaire for player feedback on numerous aspects of the game. I don't know if they still do that, but it was a nice gesture at least. Then there's the community reps, class reps, stream team, etc which gathers feedback from people who are prominent members of the community. They have closed tests for feedback from some of the aforementioned players, as well as the public pts. The pts forums has several official feedback threads for us to voice our responses to the most prominent changes to the game.

What ZoS chooses to do with all this feedback, well... the devs have their design vision and we are along for the ride. We can get off any time, though, so the devs must be responsive to us to an extent.

As for a boycott, probably couldn't organize it when we all come together here and in game to discuss/play said game. Remove the game component, how would people even stay organized enough to ensure their demands are met?

I do not believe that this may be considered a poll and closed down as such. I may be incorrect however.

I am boykoting them for quite a while now because pf performance issues, while I did (and many others) mention it many times, I didn't actively try to gather people to do the same. but I did see calls like that on the forums, I think the threads got locked pretty quick.

For a purchising, i think they could create some dificult/almost imposible quests with special items. I wrote this before somewhere. I would like to pay for a good quest with good item. I would enjoy that quest. I will be sure that the quest will be in the language I use. Bcz I am buying a good time I can enjoy, and it doesnt mean never ending content but just few very specific well made. And why not, some of them temporal, others evetual, and all by crown.- this is good option

And they could spend rest of time and money for some "problem solving commision" and solve the feedback problems

Yes, and I think they are responsive, and much more than "to an extent". What they should not do, and hopefully don't do, is follow whatever social media trend is cresting at the moment. Social media is like a flock of birds that cannot decide where they are going, and the forum is no different. Things on the forum become intensely focused, and equally out of proportion with everything else that happens in the game, but only for a short time. Eventually, something else catches the sails and off the forum goes in that direction.

Social media movements feel important when caught up in them, but they are very rarely as important as they feel. I can think of about a half dozen topics here in the forum that are like that.

Clickbait? There is nothing in this game that is Pay To Win. If one personally thinks they should boycott the the game they have the option to vote with their wallet.
