I'd like to see mannequins that can be placed and decorated with armor and weapons with known motif styles.

If it helps, it's possible you can do this with companions to an extent. You can put them in any outfits you want and I'm assuming you can place them in your homes. Two little dress up dolls. I didn't fully test any outfit limitations on the PTS so I may be wrong on some of the details.

I also just thought had an after thought, but weapon racks too to decorate with known motifs. Every player wants to decorate their house with armor and weapons. It'll give us some of that familiar traditional Elder Scrolls feel. The companions are cool but it's not the same thing.

I like the idea. I really enjoy showing rare weapon/armour skins in Fallout 76 at my CAMP with display cases, weapon racks and mannequins.

It'll also be a easier way for us crafters to show off what we craft instead of listing them all. Just have them visit your house and look through.

If you know the full motif of a set, a nice perk would be the ability to craft a mannequin for it.

This is a great idea! I would love ZOS to implement something like this. B)

I was thinking something like a collectable because the point of this idea is to show your wares. Not grind away to show what you got for skills.

But this is a marketing idea for crafters and I'd like to see it implemented into the game somehow. Truly not picky on how just please add mannequins, weapon racks, and display cases decorated with known motifs.

Mannequins and weapon racks have both been asked for for years. Still holding on to a little hope that it'll actually happen one day 🤞

I am all for this, though I’m thinking this would free up some storage space in my storage chests at the expense of my housing slots.

Unless, of course, that mannequin with 5 armor pieces only counts as 1 slot.

Even if they do implement it, I do not see this working like you all wish for.
The 3D models of all outfit motifs are quite intricate. Meaning complex, meaning a lot of meshes even for a static object.

So i conclude, that if Mannequins are happening, they will be either a collectible furnishing at best or, much more likely, a special furnishing.

I don't want to put stuff on the mannequin, instead have it pre decorated and place it somewhere. I'm thinking 4 mannequins total with each motif style. Two with light armor, one robed and the other with a jerkin, a medium armored mannequin and a heavy armored mannequin. Again this idea is to show off our wares so we don't have to keep listing what we can do. Just want to have people window shop for styles they want crafted for them. Takes care of the rendering issues some right there.

I also like Vhale's idea of being able to craft them too so we can place more of them in a house instead of it being a special furnishing and only able to place like 10. Won't be many issues if the mannequins, weapon racks, and display cases were all pre built and all we got to do is place them and no need to bother with the mix matching and stuff because you can do that on your characters. We just need armor and weapons on display because it's always been a fan favorite and it's something that is missing from the game.

This is a good idea that is frequently suggested.

Further, much of the required technology would seem to have long existed in the game, e.g. in one of the bedrooms in The Vile Manse.
