No Ancestral Imperial motif in U30?

Afaik U30 previews didn't include the Ancestral Imperial motif. Do some motifs get released later in the year on the Crown Store?

From what I understand, chapter previews don't include all the motifs that will actually be in the update or until we are able to check out the PTS for ourselves. We will know for certain what all the motifs will be that we can check out & preview in the PTS when the patch notes are posted tomorrow evening. Though I am hoping for ancestral imperial & breton myself, alongside akaviri.

Even if it is in the update, it's likely related to Antiquities, so it wouldn't have just been readily available to people previewing the content for a limited time.

Considering there's currently 4 new Ancestral Motifs in the game data (Imperial, Breton, Akaviri, and Daedra), it would be incredible if not a single one was in the next Chapter.

In the Motif section of the patch notes, they mentioned that more styles would be added in a future update, so it's possible they'll be added next week. I hope the same is the case for the Ancestral Breton motif we've seen that in-game since the Markarth prologue.

Thanks a bunch for this, @RemanCyrodiil_I ! Wow, it looks pretty neat and polished! While I would agree that the pauldrons look a bit off, I'm glad they're getting rid of the flaps, everyone has been hating these skirts and with good reason. It's amazing to finally see high resolution on the Imperial helmet (the base game helmet looks so pixelated it gives me a headache). And yeah, I mostly just want the shield! It's not as good as the Imperial Shield 5 motif, but oh well.

Hm, not sure if I entirely like how it looks either. The upper part of the chestplate looks a bit too large and awkward, while the shoulders are now a little too small. I also dislike the absence of a rear flap. I feel like it could use a bit more streamlining.

I'm just as disappointed not to see the style available. Maybe it will be added in the next updates on the PTS?

I found the armor medium and the light helmet.

But there is inevitably a problem with the shoulders of the Imperial ancestral style ...

Heavy armor still seems so cartoonish to me. Only the helmet is good...

I'd rather they make us the armor of Imperials from the CGI cinematics.
I think it even more now that the ancestral imperial style leaves a bitter taste ...
The light armor is however successful.

Fully agree. Would love to see an Imperial Motif that resembles what legionnaires wear in cinematics and some art pieces:

And also the medium armor.

At least this CGI style (medium and heavy) is pretty understated when it comes to diamonds. And then much more "comfortable" and "efficient".

We prefer an adaptation of CGI styles ... Rather than a remake of the base game styles.

The Imperial style is one set where I actually like the flaps. Removing the butt flap but keeping the rest is just weird. Guess I will keep to the old ones despite the lacking textures because these are disappointing.

An empire for some damn decent imperial armour....

That being said, this is both a positive (YAY, updated textures!) and a bit of a disappointment, due to the awkwardness of the chest pieces, the weird continuation of the dreaded hip flaps, and just.....lack of inspiration.

I’m with @MaisonNaevius about the cinematic armors being imported to the game itself. I’ve always loved the original presentation of the Imperial armors, and it’s a shame they haven’t been released yet. Also would pay all the crowns for an updated Abnur Tharn motif.

The lack of “butt flaps” makes the armor look a-symmetrical. It makes me want scoop my eyeballs out with rusty spoons. It looks like ZOS is just getting lazy and making it easier for themselves not having to make the armor for the lizards and the cats when they can have a 1-size fits all. At least let us choose which flaps are showing and with the imperial armor at least make it look right. The subermalis under the Lorica muscalata and the pteruges on the “flaps” or off and to long at times especially the order of the hour armor. WTF is the order of the hour style supposed to be a dress or something? @ZOS If you are going to make armor that is supposed to look like that of my ancestors, don't make it look like a dress. Its an insult to me, and its also culturally insensitive.

I was wondering but .. Has anyone seen the ancestral imperial staff ?
Considering the shield, if I have to be disappointed, I prefer it to be as soon as possible .. Hoping that it is faithful to the tier 5 staff.

I'm not too keen on new dagger, sword and greatsword.. It was affixed the "medallion" of the old light imperial armor of female characters.. I preferred the ancient version.. And especially a remake of the tier 5 weapons that we will never have ..

I am absolutely disappointed that the weapons found in the environment are not Imperial... so no chance of having Tier 5 Imperial weapons.
I do not understand why these are Breton weapons when it comes to imperial territories.

They should honestly make them style pages that you can get from the Jubilee Event. 1 page gives you all of the weapons for that race's Tier 5 style.

Seeing the Euraxians with Imperial Staff 5 in Elsweyr, I thought I might loot. I believed in it even more with a new imperial region. But the disappointment is total.

Oof, still undyable red-diamond centers for heavy chest, girdle, and medium's red head-feathers... Then they took the best part of the medium shoulders off, and the only weapons that looks good are the staff and shield--with more undyable red diamonds... Bleh.

They just did this with the Crested Viper set too. Was about to buy it, but most of my characters don't do a "red" theme.
