Health sustain on stam DK?

After only using magicka sorc and templar for DPS, I'm now trying a stamina DK.

Something I don't have on the DK is a good health sustain.
On the sorc I use crit surge and on templar the spear. Is there anything similar to this, available to DK, for health sustain?
Anything in any of the other guild skills or world skill lines?

Vigor is probably your best bet, or if you use a two handed weapon, you can use Rally.

I assume you mean self healing, not just the health recovery stat. And I assume you mean Solo, not DPS. Because in Groups, as a DPS, you will have Healers doing just that.🤓

Otherwise you have Cauterize or Vigor and ofc Ring of the Pal Order. 😁
If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.

Along with the other suggestions I'd slot Green Dragonblood as well for a quick emergency heal and the stamina and health regeneration, especially if you don't have a potion with the health regeneration effect.

Not much to go on here, but for keeping yourself alive as stam DK:

    Vigor skill (and morphs)
    Frequent Ultimate use
    Train up the passives
Frequently poison/burn enemies for resources back due to passives

    2-hand: Brawler and/or Rally
Dual Wield: Blood Craze and/or Blood Thirst

Consider: Flame Lash morph, Cauterize, Dragonknight Standard ult deals good damage plus reduces your incoming taken, Igneous Shield (damage shield plus gain Stamina due to passive), Hardened/Volatile armor skill

Agree, or use the other morph, Coagulating Blood, for a larger burst heal.

It sounds odd as its a magicka skill, but since you're not really using magicka on a stam DK, I sometimes run this skill instead of Vigor as it doesn't deplete my stamina pool

I like Vigor but I'm not sure that I should morph it. Neither morph seems logical for solo play.

Echoing Vigor would be good if the total heal increased with the duration, to keep the heal/second the same however, as far as I am aware, this does not happen.

Resolving Vigor just seems like it's going to give me too much health in too short a duration. To maintain uptime on this, I'm going to be chewing through quite a bit of stamina using this skill.

Stam DK is my main for soloing.

Green Dragon Blood, Brawler and Ring of the Pale Order. When I added the Ring I was able to keep GDB on the back bar only and really I probably don't need it all. It's also getting buffed next patch for soloists.

Soul trap is great for PvE solo, especially Arenas.

Resolving Vigor is much, much better than base Vigor for PVE and it has the same cost. Its only supposed to be a burst heal for those OH [snip] moments

Alternatively @ThePlacidHatter , I prefer Echoing for the longer duration so I can cast it, wail on fools with my other skills/bar for a while, then recast as needed. Plus it helps any nearby allies, which is gravy. The Resolving morph is just too short a duration for my taste. They each have their uses, but it's really hard to replace Echoing Vigor whereas Resolving is similar enough to burst heals that I don't really miss it. YMMV

And unless I'm misunderstanding you, Echoing Vigor does do what you want it to; as you level up the skill morph, the duration increases and the healing scales up with it. Pretty sure the healing isn't just the same amount divided up over more ticks... but I admit I haven't looked that closely at it in a long long while.

Also, not sure how you feel about mixing up your build, but there's always the excellent Vengeance Leech set. It's got a fairly hefty opportunity cost (since running this 3-piece set precludes you from running two 5-piece sets in the traditional way), but if you're hurting for healing and sustain in situations where YOU are getting lots of final blows, Vengeance Leech is an awesome set to make use of. Just as an example; you can run a 2-piece Monster Set, any 5-piece set of your choosing on the body, this 3-piece set on the jewelry, and then you still can use whatever weapons you like!

Figured it might be worth mentioning at least, since most people don't know it / forget it exists. :P
