A couple of questions:
1) How important is to adjust your rotation to your gear?
2) Any suggestions for a tam dk dd rotation, inc gear if you think these should be looked at simultaneously?
Well, I am only casual player, especially with DK buf I am trying to optimize all advantage DK have.
So starts with Molten & crit pot, then Soul Trap to get resources (you can ignore this with dummy or replace with poison arrow), then Stampede (it gets buffed next patch plus Maelstrom weapon works well with that), Noxious breath for Major Breach, Claws for poisoning & DOT and then I am starting to play with Dizzy swing - first with LA, other 5-6 with medium attack, so it get bonuses from both: molten & off-balance - then repeat. Before you end applying dots, cc immunity should end so you could off-balance again.
When it comes to gear, on DK I am playing pvp so have Fortified Brass & Spriggan, which are not great for pve dd race but enough to survive arena - so you could probably replace it with any set giving bonus to LA/HA attacks plus get some empower
