The down and dirty of Leyawiin - Is the river actually large enough for ships?

I don't play on PTS, I can't check to see what Leyawiin in-game looks like, but I've seen the new loading screen of the city and that by itself is maintaining consistency with Lore as a "City straddling the mouth of the Niben River".
Look at the length of that bridge. Is the river actually this large in game to allow ships to pass by on their way to and from the Imperial City? Or should I drop my hopes that level design has changed and everything is still scaled down in-game and the river is more like a stream where ships couldn't hope to pass thru.

✭The design is such that yes, it's big enough to think a ship could pass through width wise, there are even a few ships in the water near there to give you perspective, but it's not quite as vast as it seems in that drawing. The layout is also a bit different than that picture, with more city and less unprotected bridge. The bigger issue, which is also in that picture, is that while the river is wide enough those arches are not high enough for a ship to pass under them. In game the ships would pass through the city and the ship doors to the city are high, but the bridge inside the city is not.
To compare it in game it's at least 3 times wider than the river passing under solitude.3 -

✭Lore wise it is. Think anout the story of Topal the pilot, after whom the bay is named. He sailed up the niben until Bravil, i think. Not sure.
I am also quite sure that the world design from Oblivion and now ESO, is limited by technology, not lack of inspiration.No Effort, No Reward?
