Account already logged in?

So... I frequently get this message when I try to log into the game. If I try again immediately, it logs me in with no problem, but that it's coming up at all strikes me as cause for concern.

Is it possible my account has been compromised?

You can always change your password if you feel concerned.

I have only had that happened when the server drops me. So I'm not sure if your issue is server related or if someone has gotten ahold of your password.

Yeah I was on your account transferring some gold over to mine, is that ok? For real though, this is a normal message when the server still detects and active or open session from a user. You have to wait until your session times out or the server decides you DC'd, then just log back in.

If you try to log in after a crash, you will often gets this because it takes time for the server to catch up. If it happens when logging in the first time, you might want to submit a ticket and ask for clarification. If someone had hacked your account, they would clean it out right away, if you still have all your gear, you probably weren't hacked.

Ya, it's the first time I logged in today... and I change my password each time it happens.

Nothing is ever missing or anything, but it happens often enough to make me scratch my head.

I occasionally get it when logging in the first time for a day, but it's rare. I suspect when it does happen, it's because whenever I last logged out, although it was deliberate and not a crash, some part of the logout process did not complete cleanly.

Do you notice your characters missing items and being in different locations? Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it, probably just an error, maybe change password to be safe.

If I turn off my Xbox without exiting the game or I get kicked out for being afk this happens when I log in again. I wouldn't be too concerned.

When you quit the game, do you log off to character screen and then logout and quit, or quit directly from in the game world with an active character? I always do the former, and don’t encounter this issue, but have seen it a couple times in the past doing the latter.

I got this like 12 hours after I logged out, I got a friend to check when I was last on and the time lined up, just a glitch in the system

I always quit directly and I get this pretty often even if its half a day since I last played.
Your theory makes sense because it fit this.

Now getting you are logged in after an crash is very understandable, server will not kick you because internet is down a couple of seconds.

However still see this as an bug, you have that 10 second delay if you try to log off outside of safe zones anyway.
Game kick you if inactive too long.
It works the next try so server does some updates after denying you and find you are not logged in.
Why don't check and update this before giving the you are already logged in message.

Well its ZoS programming it makes as much sense as how the dungeon finder put you in an phantom queue and move you first in the real if you leave queue and re-queue.

Probably not. I think this is a bug that happens when they are trying to log you in and the attempt does not work properly.
