I do them on every character, because I really hate being out on a lowbie alt, getting a master lead and having to swap right then to someone else to dig it (because if I don't I'll forget it's there most likely). Not to mention that antiquities is a LOT more fun than writs and the MQ....
I wouldn't know about safeboxes - I don't mess with the justice system at all. Yes, all my characters are goody-two-shoes....
I just don't see any need for xp for it, sorry. YMMV obviously, that's fine.

So... gold, furniture, set pieces, paintings, motifs etc (from chests) adequate reward? No XP or legerdermain increase for you for opening chests!! lol.
Like Giraffon said... this is a reasonable request. I don't need the furniture if I don't have a house... the mythic pieces are merely a gimmick in most circumstances and you only get gold if you actually find that, and 1 in 10 don't give any gold at all. Sooo... a little XP would be a nice addition right? Not much... just enough to AT LEAST equal the successful lockpicking of a door or chest.

There's no reason at all that excavating an item shouldn't give you at least 1k xp. I was really surprised when I learned that neither scrying or excavating didn't give any xp. The arguments saying it shouldn't just go against everything else in game. If someone spends an entire day scrying and excavating is it really gonna be gamebreaking that they gain half a CP or god forbid a whole CP?

You can get buckets of gold with antiquities system...easy.
Mythics a gimmick? Lol. No need to be argumentative to attempt support for your position.
There is big reward in this system as it is for those willing to exploit it.
I don't think there's any "Guild" skill line where raising your 'rank' or 'faction' or whatever is directly tied to XP.

And is it gamebreaking that it doesn't? Not for me.
