✭✭✭✭✭That option's been there since at least last update, and possibly the one before it. They spent so much time hyping the two-person mounts that I'm surprised they're just letting the idea go.
When they were tested on PTS, there was a really decent bug where the anti-cheat system would notice that a character was moving without their player inputting anything, and it just banned the account outright - meaning the rider got completely shut out of the game. The mounts did generate some hype so I'd have thought they'd have tried to fix the system by now, but I guess they couldn't get it to work right...
Ah well, I wasn't all that into it myself but I know a lot of people are disappointed. I've got my own laundry list of things that have been datamined or even made it to PTS that didn't bug out the game (can't remember hairstyles causing account bans) that they still have decided that they would rather forget about.3 -

✭What I wish this was, but I have no evidence it is, is an option to let another player use one of your extra mounts and share your riding skill level with them while you're grouped. That would be cool. But it's probably for the two-player mounts as others have said, because my idea wouldn't require you to buy an expensive mount from the Crown store.PC-NA since 2015. thats good to know. when i noticed it was only in my dungeon, i figure it was possible that it was from previous updates. as cool of an idea as it was i do remember the entire thing taking a long time. i dont blame them for abandoning it i suppose. i imagine they had plans to have this work with companions and that probably didnt help the issue of it being a time sink for devs. in a ways its funny to imagine this glass-tower, big shot, absurdly wealthy company throwing its hands in the air at getting mount sharing to work.0 -

I'm glad that's never happened to me in Cyrodiil while soloing a resource, getting hit by an NPC, and sliding uncontrollably through the world. Although, come to think of it, maybe the fact that I was moving my mouse and mashing buttons like crazy trying to stop the unstoppable slide somehow fooled the anti-cheat system into thinking that I was moving around under my own control?I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!0
