What changes would you like to see to the visuals of armor?

1. Updates to texture of old outfits and styles. The older styles look outdated and clash heavily with any new armor that is being released.

2. More variety. For such a large game in scope there is a lack of any visual variety in armor. A lot of the sets are similar with just a minor addition and new name.

3. Allow armor to fit the character. A lot of outfits just seem to be square shaped and go over your character instead of fitting to the characters size. This makes a lot of style choices make your character look bulky/chubby.

1. No more armor that deforms your body (like inflated boobs, distended bellies, shrunken hips and legs)

2. Less crotch flaps - make better designed leg armors that don't need to be hidden.

3. Less floaty thigh flap, floaty shoulders, floaty belts, make it fit better.

4. Less of the '3D-printed plastic' look that looks nothing like real material (that some of the new styles have).

Some of the shoulder pads look absolutely terrible and are way too big and float above the shoulders. I would just like an option to not show them.

Make them all work with guild Tabards instead of turning your chest armor into a black turtleneck.

Armour pieces shouldn't have levitation spells on them and float over your shoulders/hips

Belts are more than giant belly button studs, they actually hold stuff in place, add the leather/fabric strap

Allow to make shoulders and hand pieces hidden

Rework all the meshes on styles where the chest pieces push your one handed weapons off your hips.

That ruins SO MANY styles for me.

Updating older armor probably will not happen. Last time they changed the look of an existing armor piece all kinds of hell broke loose in the forums.

I would like to see battle worn gear for existing sets. They would be treated as new sets so as to not change the look of sets that exist. They would have dents, blood stains, gashes, tears that type of thing but in all other ways look like the armor that isn't battle worn.

Better shaders. There's no reason for even a silky cloth to look like metal, and there's no reason for metal to look like a dirt clod, especially if the dye is a bright one. Consistent color mixing properties would be nice instead of multiplying for one, using hue for another, using color for another, etc.

Actual cloth physics. Outfits like robes, dresses, and the coat tails of the Dark Passions Regalia look really weird in motion due to a lack of true physics.

The option to hide physical guild tabards, so that I'm not limited to wearing costumes on every single character. Then, I could actually bother with creating an armor style.

@Iccotak @kargen27 no not updating as redoing. Updating as in take all these blurry textures that look like ps2 graphics and make them look good. So many styles with blurry details

I want more variety. Most of the sets consist of the same components in the same places, making for a lot of samey-ness. I also want coats, surcoats, more knight armor, also armor that doesn't look like armor.

Separate Toggle options for both Hip Pads and Crotch Flaps to appease those who like them and those who don't.
This is a small change that could make a huge difference that would renew existing armor styles.

Also

Smaller shoulder pieces.

changes would like to see on armors?
1) the only characters that should have access to anything that covers the face to look like an assassin should only be allowed to be worn by assassin type characters that go into sneak, and stealth, and invisibility.
at no time should that look be allowed to be worn by tanks, healers, nor sorcerers.
please remove that assassin look from all armor and outfits and costumes unless only worn by nightblades.
thats the way it has been in elderscrolls titles since over 30 years.

2) the groin loin cloth and groin hipflaps need to be deleted and removed from all armor and outfits, and costumes, as soon as possible.

3) the side mud flaps, please delete these from all armor and outfits and costumes.

and asking these as *please* do those 3 things to start with.
i am asking these things as politely and calmly as possible, as i have been asking this since beta now over 8 Years ago.
