Strange lighting.

I was in Mobar Mine just now and the central cavern (which is not open to the sky) has the same lighting effect as outside. Has it always been like this?

So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

    magic? magicka?? i mean when sun and star are just big hole on the sky, it is hard to be logical

    Could submit a ticket for this bug and state what platform you are playing on. Could happen again. I know Coldharbour has been having sky visual issues.

    it is secondary effect of improved visuals and lightning may be. has been on PC from around marcarth, outside part of the day is in caves too and it changes depending of night and day... surprised me first times but already like it and have seen dungeons in different ways.

    Deleting shader cache file fixed this issue for me.
    Will happen again and I'll delete it again.
    Nothing like going into a thieves refuge and having it lit up like high noon xD

    I just came back to the game after a 2 year hiatus and noticed this in a couple of delves

    Maybe the cave has a hole connecting to the outside world around the ceiling that you can't see?

    I also love rain inside air-tight caves

    Just say I noticed this today in Weeping Wind Cave in Reapers March.

    Seems to happen in caves where there are "skylight" holes, but the light from the holes carries on into areas of the cave where there should definitely be no sky lighting.

    Nope. The one update broke it. That isn't the only place. I've done several /bug reports. Does make dark underground caverns easier to see, but is NOT working as intended.
