Reinstalling Game.. keeping Addon data

Hi, I just wiped my hard drive last week, and reinstalled ESO. I saved my entire ADDON directory to another drive so I wouldn't have to reload everything and start from scratch. Needless to say, the only thing that I saved was the time needed to reinstall all the addons. none of my data from MM, ATT, Harvest Map/Map Pins.. and all showed up when I put the folder back. I'm just curious what I did wrong, and what files didn't I save while screwing this up. it's certainly not the end of the world, but if/when i have to do t his again, I'd like to get it right this time. Any help?

You need to backup your SavedVariables folder as well - this is where all addon settings and data are stored.

Alternatively, you could also copy the entire Elder Scrolls Online folder in your Documents folder to your backup drive - all it contains is just addons, settings, and logs. But ya, the SavedVariables folder is where addon settings are stored.

    Thanks guys,

I had saved the entire 'documents' directory before reinstalling, so added it back and all is great. I just assumed that all data for addons was in the addon directory. Live and Learn. Thanks again
