How do we still not have these? The assets exist and are on display in basically any npc market area. Feels kind of odd to be playing as these battle tested heroes, yet not a one of them has any kind of armory on display in their housing. 🙄

It would be great if they added them when the chapel/fort house comes out in the new chapter.

How can you have a fort without weapons on the wall and weapon racks? Also suits of armor on display.

Yes, really missing. In TES V Skyrim we could display our weapons on the wall and armor on dolls, that was great.

    Warning rant incoming....

It's ridiculous we don't have decorative armor or weapons yet. A lot of the assets already exist in game- all those bloody staves I accidentally "steal" when I go to drop of my writs, the random pieces of armor that spawn by npcs in towns etc.

They're added a pair of socks and some pants to the home goods merchant next update. The housing community is thrilled but honestly they don't even look good.

Zeni keeps adding things like the Dawnbreaker sword and Spellbreaker shield to the crown store as outfit styles. If you just added a housing version at the same time you'd double your sales. There's money to be made so must do it!

We don't need armor mannequins or weapon racks like Skyrim hd. We just need this basic stuff made attainable so we can drop a piece of armor on the ground by a forge, put a shield on the wall etc.

Prince Irnskar opened a weapon shop in my town, so far all he sells are working hammers, hatchet axes, kitchen knives, and flag poles that he is passing off as spears. That's all I could find in the game that I can manage, there is a fantastic greatsword, but the achievement attached isn't something I can do.

Afaik we don't have musical instruments either (and I don't mean the music boxes), and they too are in the base game.

I agree, this is something I'd really like to have. Even if it's not a way to place actual weapons and armour pieces as furnishings and it has to be special furnishing versions it would be nice.

There are a few furnishings which can work - I've got a sword over my fireplace which is an achievement reward (I can't remember the name now, but it comes from Alik'r and can be either shattered or whole) and a dungeon boss trophy carefully positioned to hide the mounting board so it looks like a dwarven helmet sitting on a shelf, but options like that are very limited and often involve 'tricks' like putting objects at odd angles or hiding part of it in the floor so it looks like something else.

It would be nice to have the option for a full suit of armour or different weapon types as furnishings. Even better would be to place the actual items, then I could do what I did in previous TES games where I saved cool weapons and armour I found or was given and used them as decorations.

@danikat That sword is nice, it's from Alik'r achievement furnished. Good idea with the helmet I'll try it.

@Sahqon Don't get me started on the lack of instruments.... 😐

Now I can log in and check, the helmet is the Sentinel of Rkugamz trophy, from Darkshade Caverns I. It was a pain to position correctly, but I think it's a pretty convincing substitute for being able to put an actual helmet on a shelf.

I think the Assembly General from Halls of Fabrication could work as well, but I haven't actually tried. I've seen a few people use the Engine Guardian trophy to look like a broken dwarven machine they're fixing up, putting it in the corner of a dwemer scholar's study, or near a blacksmithing station or something.
