Feel The Love

I've seen a lot of complaints about different things on the forums, but many of the issues I really see no need to keep raising complaints.

Mostly people complain about bots. Sure, they exist, but are they seriously breaking your experience of the game that much? I don't think so. I go through every delve I find and most of the time there are several bots at the boss. I get my few blows in, loot if I can, get the XP for completing the dungeon and leave, move onto the next quest. What I don't do is get my laptop out and write a forum post ranting about bots.

I see people moaning about maintenance windows. Yes, they can take several hours, but wouldn't you rather have bugs removed from the game? They usually put on a forum post to announce when it's going to happen as well, or were you expecting a phone call?

I see a lot of threads about bugs. Fair enough, post those, but don't nerdrage about them, because that's unconstructive. Make sure you have /bug'd it. Post about it to raise awareness, and then wait.

The biggest thing I notice which is true for all of these posts, is the lack of patience the average ESO (or at least forum poster) seems to have around here! Seriously, chill out, get some fresh air. Things will be ok. (/reassuringhug)

The biggest thing I enjoy about the game, besides the lore, quests and adventuring, is socialising. I notice a lot of players saying they'd rather play solo. Why? Why buy an MMO? Seriously. I am in a good friendly guild. We chat a lot and it's one of the biggest reasons I keep playing.

Feel free to flame away.

Most of the people crying wont be around in a month or two when all these "minor" bugs get fixed and we will be a better community.

Yes. Some of the little things I enjoy are the day / night cycles and the weather effects.

Also, people harping on about the game going free-to-play within X months. I know you're upset about [insert semi-frustrating experience here], but verbally condemning the game is not the answer.

Then one boss gets slightly nerfed and the forum fills up with people moaning that the game will be too easy and not even worth playing. One boss, which was fairly overpowered. There are still hugely challenging encounters throughout the game. Some of the Group Dungeon bosses can also be very difficult. Don't throw your toys out of the pram. It's silly.

I am lucky i have not run into alot of bugs or anything game stopping so my ESO experience has been mostly positive. If i ever get frustrated with something that's not going my way, either a bug or something on my end (trouble with a mechanic or boss for example) i walk away or move on and try something else. This has served me well.

I have played WoW for many years. Rift, Everquest 2, Neverwinter and many more im not gonna list but those are the main ones. I have always been more of a MMO player then a single game player because i like to be social and talk alot.

I am finding for the 1st time i am following the quests, stories and lore. Usually i find this boring in other games and skip through it. I love crafting and love just wondering around the world seeing what trouble i can get my self into :). I find the game challenging where it needs to be.

I do need to upgrade my video card so im having low frame rate and rendering issues so that sucks but its on my end and a upgrade will be coming soon! This makes PVP hard for me but will resume it when i get the new card. Cant wait to have that fixed!

    Happy ESO player :)

To each their own. The draw of this game for myself and many is the immersion aspect. If I wanted to play another token grind game and max level in two weeks I would pre order Wildstar.

Yes, ultimately, the little bit of loot you lose is no big deal, but it's a quality of life issue. I, as a paying subscriber and pre order Imperial edition owner feel like I should not have to deal with people/accounts who aren't even playing the game.

The last 7 public dungeons I was in I got no loot on the boss. Again, the loot is not a huge deal, but it's fun to get a reward and having ass hats camping and ruining my Immersion sucks.

I know a lot of you will just say "deal with it" and I will by canceling my sub if it's not nipped in the butt soon. Also consider this is not a type of game many will roll alternate characters in because of the freedom allowed in builds. A lot of us will max and go PvP and mot repeat, much of the main story and so the bots just taint the experience further.

To those who like bots or don't care more power to you. For me it's irksome and when combined with play stopping quest chains it's one more reason to reconsider a subscription. Troll away but remember the game is on shaky ground with Wildstar looming on the Horizon so if you like the game, maybe consider not fueling fires that may lead to a drop in the player base which will directly affect future content updates.

But delves are just a scratch of the entire gameplay element. Why does it bother you so much to see a few bots affect a small part of the game?

I'm not saying I like bots and want them to stay, quite the opposite, but to let their presence ruin your game experience is a little extreme, don't'cha think?

I have to agree; I've been enjoying this game very much. There are however some players with legitimate complaints (anodyne in nature) and I would like to see them get their points across; without getting caught up in a flame war.

    Because options.

Instancing public stuff to solo and groups will force people who cannot solo a high level dungeon when they are several levels lower and want that sky-shard, to actually socialize and make friends in a MMORPG whose PvE is about making friends and allies.

And it also allows lone-wolves to enjoy their experience without 30 people with them in a long-forgotten ruin locked by a Daedric Prince. I mean, REALLY now...

Every time I log in, the game gets a little bit better. Fewer bugs, LibAntiSpam has muffled a few more gold spammers, little lag spikes are less prevelant.

The game is slowing getting the polish not possible in a Beta test, the real-time shake-down of going world wide live. I, for one, am happy to notice the improvements and comment on them.

Keep up the good work, ZOS.
