How does ESO trial scene compare to other MMOS

So after being a avid PVP player for quite some time I’m going to dip back into PVE. I’m curious how the ESO trial scene compares to other MMOs?

Please don’t turn this into a bash thread for either ESO or other games. I’m just interested in a discussion about similarities and differences.

if you intend on doing eso pve, what does it matter how is it in other games? you want to compare our answers about eso's pve with other game's pve and then decide if you will play here or another game?
Firstly, our answers won't describe your personal experience, be it eso or another game.
Secondly, even if we answer both of these, it would mean we make you play what we want based on our experience.
Thirdly, you have to be more specific, "pve" is a generally very broad term.

you can go solo world bosses and dungeons, do normal trials with your fun builds, get some experience and try some veteran trials, or go elite mode and try hardmodes. Just go into Craglorn and join any normal trial you see. Have you done dungeons? what's your dps? what role you prefer?

Ah my friend the title and first paraphrase of my post say trial scene. So I’m interested in trials. And I just like to know how it compares with other games because that’s something I’m interested in knowing. If you’re not that’s fine but I am hence my post.

Ha just started the character but he is a stamplar in which I would be looking at trails normal/hard.

Dont bother with stam, most of the newer trials arent designed with stam in mind. Mag will always perform better jsut because it can keep DPSing while moving around AoEs and such, it also has superior cleave dmg. Stam DPS isnt also much higher than Mag DPS (only around 10k).

Trials……never ran one, would love to. This game needs a random trial group finder imo.I just want to get in and see one.

What is wrong with knowing others opinions on some matter before experimenting it themselves?

As someone who seemed very annoyed by OP's post, without no reason, you sure tooked your time to write stuff that don't add anything to what OP's asked. Take it easy.

OP, regarding your question, i'm not a wide knowing of MMO's, having only GW2 to compare with ESO.

On ESO, i find trials very accesible, easy pugable on normal, and some of then even on veteran.

Gameplay wise, TO ME (an average player), on base-game ones, bosses are just sponges to be dps'ed. Fun begins with vDLC. I think the trial team on ZoS did a great job with the mechs. The "bad" thing is that, with high dps numbers, you can skip most of those mechs, unlike GW2, e.g., where you get punished hard for not following stuff even if you hit like a truck. So it's kinda a "culture" that I observe on eso, where groups tend to push dps to the limits just to skip mechs, being that the mechs and gameplay are what makes running trials fun (again, from my perspective).

Good luck with your new approach on the game :)

I've done raids in SWTOR and WoW as well as ESO. I think ESO's raids are generally easier than its MMO siblings and quite a bit shorter in time duration (i.e. more accessible).

I would suggest trying to find a trials guild maybe, that could help you learn mechanics and whatnot. Practice a rotation and see what class you would prefer to play. Stam is harder to accommodate in the current patch, so it would be easier to learn on mag.

Depends, If you find an active guild that does trials. You could be involved In weekly Or even daily runs(normal runs at least from my experience they were gear farming) and veterans On certain other days. This was On the Xbox for me.

I've only done Wildstar raids (all but prime Hardmentors) and my impression fom few casual guild runs is ESO trials are far less intricate and demanding.

Yeah, we do. I think they should add a completely reworked LFG tool as a feature in the next chapter. One that allows use to join a variety of groups for a variety of tasks based on what we are looking for.
