So today, one of my best friends asked me: "What level does ESO get fun?"

I'm at a loss. He's only level 8, but I was hooked from the get-go. Should I tell him it gets better at 10, when you can zerg fest in PVP, or you can run dungeons? Level 20 when the dungeons actually start showing difficulty?

I mean, if he's not sold on the immersion, funny/amazing/unique quest stories/mechanics, or the beautiful world, is he already a lost cause?

Obviously he can only answer that question. Everyone likes different things and I guess he doesn't enjoy ESO.

He may be destined for PVP. I have no idea, I've been having fun since my first beta. I really can't help but have fun with this game. It's ESO, but not too too much, and I can play with my family. You can lead a player to ESO, but you can't make them enjoy it.

I liked it from the beginning but things were a bit awkward for me personally until about level 15-20. I plunked around only playing a couple hours every other day or so feeling kinda meh. Then stuff really started to open up, I found myself more interested in the quests, and I am really enjoying crafting.

Money is easier to get and I die less from poor judgement because I have the skills and gear to cushion it a bit.

However, if the quests/story/world are mostly uninteresting for him, I would say to try pvp. If not, sadly this may not be his game. Bummer :(

Tell him it is a subjective question with an answer only he can obtain. What is fun for me may not be fun for you.

I loved it the whole way through so far, though I felt much more capable as a character at around level 15-20. Prior to that you have fewer skills, no weapon swap, and fewer ways of dealing with different situations.

It also depends on his build. My Nightblade Shadowcaster took much longer to feel fun than my Templar Healer, because the skills that really made the setup work weren't available at the start, so I was cobbling together skills that sort of worked.
