Call it an alternate reality or a dragon break or whatever terminology is necessary. just detach the ESO world from the main Elder Scrolls continuity.
I kinda wish the Story Team wasn't bound to having to try to force everything to conform to the main Elder Scrolls game. The team would have so much more freedom to create and grow the ESO world in interesting directions, without the constraint of "none of it means anything because Talos and everything is going to get wiped out anyway and everyone is gonna forget about everything that happens as if it doesn't exist."
I suppose I am alone or among a minority in this thinking, and that's ok.

If I could, I would prevent Talos from ever being born. How then might the future unfold?
I'm only playing because of the lore. If this wasn't following the Elder Scrolls lore my interest would be lessened severely.
