Did Lightweaving Become Easier?

I've been told that, if you prevent the user from pressing a skill until they've LA'd, you can spam skills and LA and the game just auto-weaves for you.

This is what some plugins are doing. If I'm understanding it correctly, and I may not be.

Apparently it's a simple few lines of code.

I've no idea if this is true, mind--I've only seen reviews. But could a few lines of code really address that?

Locking you out of skills until you light attack seems like more of a problem than missing a light attack honestly.

I tried it and found it annoying. I know others who it has helped get their DPS and rotation down better. Using it as a training tool it will help you get a feel for the timing required, used as a crutch in combat, it will probably mess you up completely in many cases.

If it requires manually repeated mashing light attack and skill buttons many times per second I wouldn't call it easier

As someone that has experimented with that addon, I don't think really helps to be honest. In fact, I found that it did more harm than good in real combat. I would end up missing skills, especially when swap canceling from my back bar. On a target dummy, I was able to push my LA ratio up just a hair with it, but my overall rotation actually suffered because you end up pressing 2-3X as many buttons.

This is coming from someone that can do about .92 LA/Sec on a dummy. Maybe it would be advisable if you are way south of that, but I got rid of the addon pretty quickly.
