You can already do it. If you are in PC EU server join Vivec and take part to AD morning capping with S***s and his friends. 100 % PvE assured

The problem with stuff like this is it's really hard to balance. Most of the time these types of things becomes the path of least resistance and an easier place to get skills/gear than doing the actual content skills/gear was designed to drop in.

Just removing the cyro only lock on siege weapon would be good in my book, I wouldn't mind some PVE dungeon where siege weapons are required, cyro lags too much and those one man god army build kills any chance to play it

That would be like the Silverwastes meta in GW2, and that's only still going because people farm shovels.

Didn't read all but idea of cyro siege without players sounds boring. Would probably work once during a quest but without dynamic PvP would just be a grind.

Honestly I'd kinda like it. I love the challenge of an intense siege.
It's not the enemy players I'd be wanting an escape from. Take away the frustration of green bars... not pulling their weight... to be diplomatic... I could dig it.

What you are asking for is PVD, and you can pretty much already do that on the Blackreach campaign. Go setup your siege at an empty keep (that's most of them), bang the doors, go inside and flip the flags. The bonus is you will actually earn AP as well!

Even more fun, you should have been on Greyhost tonight. We had 2 hour+ siege warfare going on at Ash, it was amazing fun! Fireballs and rocks plummeting, lancer shooting everywhere, meatbags dropping everywhere and flaming oil all over the place... one of the best keep fights I had in ages.

I would be down for siege mechanics, but only if its not overland difficulty, because that would be lame (which seems impossible but that wasnt the question was it B) )

Edit: wtf? why is this thread 2 years old

It sounds boring. As other people have said you can already go to Cyrodiil during off-peak times or on a quiet server and attack keeps with only the NPC guards to stop you, and it's effective but dull. I assume if it was a dedicated PvE siege mode they'd improve the defenses a bit, Cyrodiil keeps aren't really intended to rely on the NPCs to defend them, but even so it sounds like you'd spend a lot of time spamming siege, get a bit of excitement when you break in and claim the keep then move on to the next spot and do it again.

I wouldn't mind if siege was incorporated into PvE sometimes (imagine something like the Camlorn quest line but you make your own entrance) but an entire DLC dedicated to using siege sounds boring.
