Can we do hm of vet content?

.... like moongrave, hm of hel ra, or vmol hm ...or not about only hm, vet dg content with your companions(tanks or dps companions for example)?

cause if we can do that with, maybe a companion tank... my respects to zenimax to achieve an IA with that possibilitys

I highly doubt they would make a companion strong enough to do Vet and HM content.
Like, that would make people forfeit 50% of a dungeon/trial group and fill that half with companions.
And I'm sure that anyone can see how stupid of a feature that would be.
At best I'd say they can manage a normal dungeon.
But this is just how I imagine it to be.
How it will turn out is for time to tell.

You can't even do normal AA with them since they cant activate the teleport pads needed to continue in the trial lol.

I watched yesterday's ESO stream, and it looks like Companions will be only good for help with overland boss (if there are no players around) and soloing some normal group dungeons. I doubt they will be useful in Vet content, as they can die too. Not permanently, but I would imagine you will need soul gem to res them (just like other players).

So best use-case for them will be either a support heal-bot that is healing and buffing you and is sitting on distance, or maybe (if it will be possible) a tank that can taunt and absorb dmg - but I would imagine you will have to heal that tank during longer fights.

Also, during stream, they said that Companion's AI will not know any mechanics in dungeons, so they will not help in that regard. For example, if you get perma-stunned by something, normally you need other player to help you. I doubt companion will be able to free you, so there will still be some relatively easy content (even in a base game) locked behind group play that you would not be able to solo with a help of a NPC Companion.

I think @Tommy_The_Gun gave the most germane piece of data we have: the developers say “no.”

The only question is whether players prove them wrong. But only time will tell.

I think it will be possible to do vet dungeons and maybe even trials with companions, because there are already groups who sell completions - meaning they're doing it short-handed to make space for the person buying a run - so they could just as easily fill that space with a companion.

But I don't think they'll enable average players to solo vet dungeons or anything like that. They might be able to draw off some enemies or spam some healing skills, but even if ZOS was capable of making an AI which could perform as well as a human player I don't think they would. Ultimately this is still a multi-player games and I think they want other players to be the first choice and companions a back-up for when you can't get enough people.

There will be some players that can do it just like they can carry new players through content.

Since companions need to be active running the guild daily's to progress in the Mages, Fighters Guilds. Does this also mean the Undaunted Guild? IF so then will they be taking the spot of a player in those daily's? or will it be 4 players with each player capable of having 1 companion?

Also you only get companion gear drops when companions are active so be prepared for them in all aspects of the game that they are allowed.

I believe it was mentioned in the stream, along with that they cannot use synergy's and do not know nor can learn any of the games combat mechanic's.

It is confirmed that they cannot do dungeon mechanics.

Think of them as a customizable pet, anything the Bear or Clannfear can do, they can do. This includes anything they can't do as well like activating floor plates. Any kind of blocking or interrupting is directed by their AI script not something you can command them to do at will. As for moving out of bad, you have command pet attack and retract for that.

They mentioned just recently there were other threads about it, that the companions can only do around 10K DPS and are not able to handle mechanics or DPS checks.

So I doubt they will be much use in vet content, would still help a bit, as in better than nothing for those trying to solo or duo said content but that is hardly a large portion of the player base.

To me they are going to be useful when doing WB/Dolmens/Geysers/Harrowstorms/Overland Group stuff in Craglorn/Smaller Dragon hunting groups/harder public dungeon bosses/replacing a low DPS damage dealer in normal dungeons/replacing a tank on the most easy of base game dungeons that have no mechanics that need to be followed.

Really depends on how they are implemented if they can be killed, will we have to frequently re summon them during combat?
