Is there any information about Companions inside our houses?

A lot dropped today, but outside of someone mentioning that we can have our companions in our houses, I haven't seen any more details. Would anyone who has spent some time with this feature care to share if the companions can do anything unique in our homes? Can they sit in chairs? Sleep in beds? Can they use emotes? Are they simply treated like houseguests and nothing more, or are they just as intractable as they are outside of the home?

Any information would be appreciated.

I would assume they would be treated like houseguests.

Its too early to say much more they have only just released the basic outline for Blackwood ,we will get more details the closer it gets to release and when it finally arrives on the PTS.

Hmm, no mention of companions in houses at all in the live stream. I hope this doesn't mean housing is a mere afterthought for companion interaction. Although, he did say there were things they haven't discussed yet that we can discover on PTS.

Does anyone know anything more about the permanently unlockable "non-combat perks" he mentioned?

I doubt this has anything to do with housing, but maybe?

Considering they said they counted them as "Assistants" it would be surprising if you COULDN'T put them in your house.

Since they're sharing the new "Allies" tab with the banker and merchant, I don't think you'll be able to have one out in a house. However that does sound promising as for placing them in a house.

I’ve never thought to try this yet, does our banker and merchant work with the pathing system or are they just stationary?

Yep. My banker walks around inventorying all my storage chests. :)

Oh, that’s cute. Now I know what my banker will soon be doing!

They made a comment about their DPS being player testable so sounds like they're still active companions inside houses. If that's the case I think they're unlikely to be able to used as decorations too.

I just thought up an idea for an in-home mini game. I could have the banker and the merchant be chasing each other all over the house and the mini game would be me having to catch them when I needed them.

I honestly would much prefer them as active companions inside the home instead of having a houseguest functionality. Only, I would also like the added feature of being able to engage in dialogue with them and instruct them to "go here" or "sit there," kind of like what you can do in Skyrim. Other than basic instructions, my hope is that they have implemented means of engagement I wouldn't have even thought of.

But... given they aren't discussing this functionality at all, my hopes are very low. :worried:
