Noob question: Keep getting knocked off of mount

I do not know what I am doing wrong. Get knocked off my mount when I enter some cities but not others. It may even be some entrances but not others though I am not keeping track of things.
MMORPGs tend to have consistency with things like this so I am expecting it is a user error. What am I doing wrong?

Its not you, its some glitch or something. Never used to happen.
I agree its annoying

Is this in the list of known issues Zenimax has recognized and is working on? Does Zenimax have an actual list of known issues? I would have thought the "Dev Tracker link would have been such a page but it is merely a disorganized list of posts in threads.

He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.

✭Maybe they don't want players with a bounty to just mount and run past guards in and out of cities.
Was using going through dark brotherhood line on several alts to take advantage of double xp, where once I could just mount past guards and do my sprees, I now get dismounted and have to get chased by guards.1 -

Still, no reason to force us to dismount.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

✭✭It's an ancient bug necro'd back into unlife in a recent patch/update.
It's probably been said before, maybe by me, that it will get fixed eventually. And then it will re-appear again.
I think the last time this bug was 'live' was a few years ago and it took many, many months for them to almost fix it (Daggerfall gate was a noticeable exception to that fix, as I recall).

✭✭✭It's not you. Being dismounted when riding under an arch or open gate, etc is not intended. I think they are gradually correcting the situation because a few places will no longer cause you to dismount. For example, you can (now) ride under the bridge that is near wayrest sewers without dismounting.Fan of playing magblade since 2015. (PC NA)

Some time ago Zenimax said they were working on them and asked people to report them. As they've not been fixed I suggest you also faithfully /report them all. Likewise all the broken steps that you have to jump up in U29

This would make sense, however, Wayrest has a door that forces me to dismount that is right next to two doors that do not force me to dismount. I tested it just now and the doors I speak of are near where we pick up the quests to do dungeons.

Sju✭✭✭✭This isn't only happening when entering cities. There are lots of arches everywhere that are dismounting you. Noticed this while doing the Psijic questline and running under a few random, different sized arches.0
