When I enter pvp in Cyrodiil I lose the benefit of second mundus stone. I put in ticket but have not heard back. Is this a feature or a bug?

    It's a feature :'(
Twice Born Star counts as a proc set and as such doesn't work in Cyrodiil.

Thank you very much for your reply. Understanding all the changes has been a challenge.

It's tragic that TBS is considered a proc set. Yeah, for every millisecond of gameplay, check if the player is wearing TBS and whether a second boon has been activated. Surely that's affecting performance.

I'm sure one of the things they're working on is getting these pseudo-proc sets like TBS, NMA, and Seducer to be reprogrammed as 'non-proc sets,' especially if they're considering moving to a no-proc campaign.

There is a handy list of all the working sets for cyrodiil in the main Zos post about proc sets.
There are other smaller bonuses on disabled sets that are still active like 1pc bonuses on monster sets and arena weapons, as well as a few 5pc bonuses that are static.

what about now, ever hear back?

try the 5 set armor of 'harass the crap out of them'...so annoyed I have to reset it every time!

This is not possible from a programming perspective, per the devs. If they could program it to keep the second mundus but not function, then they could tweak individual "proc" sets to their liking. They can't, hence the months-long break from procs in Cyro while they recode.

It's not a bug. Procs (defined widely as any set bonus that is not "adds X number to a stat") are disabled in Cyrodiil currently. I'm not sure Support would actually know that, but harassing them is not going to change anything.

    PROC = Programmed RANDOM Occurence....

Nothing in this set (and many more) concern random % chance yet somehow they are coded as such? None of it makes sense. How is reduced or increased ability cost efficiency supposed to be affected by such rules for that matter?

    Spaghetti.

The devs have said they are all coded as checks:

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/561180/feb-15-cyrodiil-test-details

"On February 15th, we will be disabling Item Set bonuses outside of pure stat gains. This means any item set which has a proc, or condition which is driven by an ability, will have that ability disabled. This includes Item Sets like Seducer, as that set reduces Magicka cost abilities by 10%. That reduction of cost is done via an ability, which has to check anytime you cast an ability if it’s [sic] cost should be reduced. Other sets, such as Hunding’s Rage, is [sic] completely unaffected by this change as it simply grants stats without requirements."

It may not make sense to use the term "proc" to describe that, but that's the way they're using it. They are in the middle of recoding "proc" sets so they have more flexibility in terms of tweaking them and so that they can offer proc and no-proc campaigns in Cyro, IC, and BGs:

They should have put an in game message when entering cyrodiil. I’ve seen so many people still using proc sets weeks after this change not having a clue.

Yeah it's crazy how they assume everyone is on the forums reading about changes. There should be an in-game list. Any feature of a game that requires you to use external sources to understand the game is a sign of bad game design.

Back on topic, TBS is my main set but its design is very poor. If you accidentally unequip the 5th piece and put it back on, the game doesn't remember what the second mundus was so you have to run around finding it again.

Also it's very complicated to change one of the boons, you need to basically unequip the set to fully reset it, otherwise it isn't clear which boon is your main and which is secondary.

It's just a mess, and also useless, since both the set and mundus boons have been nerfed to oblivion.

How about a single Mundi stone with twice the bonus?

or a coupon for a free Sweet Roll every time you leave Cyrodiil wearing TBS?

I've seen multiple subjets like this since the 'no proc meta'....I mean save the people some time and put a pop up in game when queuing for Cyrodill PVP (No proc sets until 'date')...Please do this in future, stop leaving people out of the loop.

Things like this is why the non-proc campaigns (when they are re-introuduced) will be seen as a joke. I mean the current non-proc campaign is already a joke with no build diversity and the same performance issues, but it's wild to me how they've categorized what sets are allowed and aren't. Only the purest form of stat increasing sets are allowed in and that basically killed the games vibrant theorycrafting PVP scene for an entire patch.

I honestly don't see a viable population sprouting up around non-proc campaigns because of how silly their limitations are. Anyone who is actually serious about PVP (and wants to be taken seriously) is going to be playing in the standard alliance locked campaign.

They explained that they are working to enable or disable “proc” sets on a more refined basis than all-or-nothing, which is their current situation. However they were coded, ZOS says they were unable to enable only certain “proc” sets and are recoding to give themselves greater flexibility here. I wouldn’t assume the no-proc campaigns will have the same restrictions once they finish.

I spent a lot of game currency getting both Mundus stones I wanted. This my thread orignally. I never heard back from anybody on this matter, my ticket went to the ticket graveyard.
I would never consider TBS to be a proc set the stats are set numbers all it is is an extra stone stat.

Why is it a proc set? thought that bonus was 'on' all the time?

Or am I misunderstanding what a proc is?

You are, but it's not really your fault.

A, "proc," is a procedure call. Literally, it's a line of code which tells the computer to run another block of code.

In the case of ESO sets, this is any set which operates based on scripted functions. TBS works off a script. I'm guessing the script simply modifies the, "StandingStoneUse" event, or whatever it's called. But, at that point it is, technically, a proc. It checks when you're interacting with a Standing Stone and then modifies that event.

Worth noting that cost modifiers (such as seducers, Alteration Mastery, or NMA) are also technically handled by script. So those are proc sets as well.
