Surely housing is as significant a part of ESO as Summerset, Orsinium etc?? Why after all these years do we not have an event to celebrate it?
This part of the game has such a huge and passionate following. C'mon ZOS, show the love.
An event with loot boxes of old and new furnishing plans and double mat drops could surely be organised.
What say you housing community??
All my housing builds are available on YouTube

I am happy to share the EHT save files for most of my builds.

Sounds like it would be fun to me.

I’ve brought this up on a few threads before but personally I’d love to see these things implemented with a Housing Event (also
I’m drifting into QoL features, but I figure if it’s a Housing Event, why not?):

    1) All inaccessible base game furnishings such as racial architecture, chicken coops, glowing alchemy bottles ect be placed into a few Furnishing Packs. Maybe have each race have their own pack, or group it by zone? Example could be an Aldmeri Dominion pack with unused Khajiit, Bosmer, and Altmer architecture and furniture, as well as unique furnishings found within their respective zones.

    2) Same could be done with DLC zones. Have a Gold Coast furnishing bundle that has Imperial/DB items. Same goes with Summerset, Vvardenfell, CWC, on and on.

    3) Houseguest packs. I’m taking faction based guards, servants and thralls, bards, and also other factions/groups. Witches, werewolf pack, vampire clan, even guild based: Dark Brotherhood, Thieves, Mages, and Fighters Guilds. Undaunted, all that good stuff.

    4) Quality of life, and interactive furnishings. Have harvesting nodes that can be accessed once a day, and possibly allow the chance for a double drop. Same could be done with fishing holes that are based in the zone they’re in. Also allow both the player character and houseguests to interact with books, crafting stations if you idle by them (play/loop an animation respective to that crafting station). Same goes when drinks, shrines, chairs. BEDS, LET US SLEEP IN OUR BEDS AND SIT ON OUR BOSMER VINE THRONES PLS.

    5) STAINED. GLASS. WINDOWS.

    6) Let us be able to dye/retexture carpets, banners, architectural pieces. What if I want the old mossy look found on Alinor furnishings in the overland? Or for them to have that broken down, ancient look?

    7) All the water features.

    8) During said event, have the chance for double furnishing/crafting mats and plans. Also could include previously unobtainable furnishings besides being sold in crown packs.

    9) During a housing event, lower the crown crate cost for furnishings? If not, then bring back furnishing items only from packs that haven’t been around for a bit/also bring back limited time houses/furnishing items? Tel Galen and the Abnur Tharn bust come to mind.

We celebrate all the time, especially with each update as housing is getting more and more important (and beneficial for ZOS). I feel it is top priority content atm (sadly), so in my opinion we celebrate housing whole year, so there is no need for special event.

I don't feel bad or sad that housing is so popular. I call it a personal connection to this ESO world. Some people have personal connections with their character or build or appearance of the avatar they play and want it to reflect there inner fantasy persona in game same with housing. In ESO we are all heros and have the beautiful houses to mark the fact we are renowned throughout the world. Giving us more options by increased limits on slots or ways to obtained unique furnishings is a win win for Zos. I feel more quests geared towards that would give a way for Zos to get people back into areas that are not used as much too. Or offering packs that contain items from the past in the crown store. I see all of these ideas as a win for Zos $ people will still play the game and do dungeons and pvp but they will have more of a connection with the ESO world via housing too. Many guilds hold housing contests it's fun and brings guild mates closer to each other. Having a Zos sponsored event would be awesome.

As I said I think it would be great but I recognise that housing is celebrated in other ways like the free houses we get in events etc.

I also enjoy housing, but see no reason why there should be a special event for it, as housing is always present. When we have an event for a region/chapter, you come back there, possibly remembering good times and quests. How this should look regarding housing? Most of the time you also get furnishing plans during the events anyway or sometimes can buy some special stuff.

For me to keep it more in line with other events.

    Quest Giver: Duchess Imperial Name
    Personality: eccentric artist
Quests: Have you go to a zone representing each race and harvest her some rare material by killing some mob there or talking to some npc or performing a dance or other such bargaining things.
    Rewards:
In addition to a purple box quality reward, once a day get a random Imperial themed gold furniture design in a gold box, perhaps the ones that were previously offered in events since those were already separated from crown store and housing mats. These are also available from event tickets
Purple Box: chance for rare pre-crafted furniture, an envelope containing a random purple design from each of the nine races, housing mats, and various housing themed treasure items.

Additonal purple boxes can be rarely be obtained by looting urns, trunks, etc. 2X drops in base game zones, double exp when you use the new event memento. Which could be your character building a chair or arranging a flower or something

That's how I'd like to see an event done

Perhaps the quests could then be related a little more to specific housing topics respectively furniture production - for example: "find the golden saw on Summerset to make a special table in the style of the Altmer" or "find the golden hammer in Wrothgar to make a special chandelier in the style of the Orsimer ". :)

I don't really need a an event, just a few days when we can get big discounts on crown store furnishings, make all the rare packs available for the event duration, access to all the luxury furniture, and have some nice much requested furnishings available only during the event.

We all want to get windows, more building blocks options for the styles available in the game, more clutter packs, filled book cases, filled planters, stairs, ladders, roofs, doors, wayshrines, and interactable furnishings.

With Blackwood I hope to get furnishing plans in the Colovian style (the one we have in Gold Coast) which I think its due, along with the new Leyawiin style.

A dedicated Housing event would be kinda cool. One idea that comes to mind, Black Desert Online had a contest some years back where the community submitted designs for a new costume and then the community voted on the entries. The winning one getting put into the game.

Something like that would be super cool for a Housing sort of event, with the community drawing up suggestions and designs (Obviously within reason and adhering to established lore) for a new house or say a new piece of furniture and then having a big vote for the winner, winning design making it into the game.

Wouldn't be a yearly thing but like a one off sort of thing.
