Thank you ZOS

I just wanted to pop onto the forums and say thank you to ZOS and the teams involved with getting the PS NA/EU back up and running without needing the originally predicted 48 hours. I also wanted to say I appreciate what ya’ll are doing to help us make up for lost time from the down time. Lastly I really wanted to say how much some of us appreciated the communication that was shared on the social media platforms today. It wasn’t the best situation at all but it’s nice to know what happened (and that you know what happened) so it can hopefully be prevented in the future. I can only imagine the long hours you folks had to pull yesterday so I hope the PS community also shares their thanks on this post.

Yup things break, it's just inevitable. I'm not even on PlayStation, I just work in IT so I figured the best way to thank them is to help fund their game. I figured another 21k crowns should be a good way to thank them for probably missing time away from their families just so we can have this 1st world luxury of sitting in our air conditioned/heated homes, to log in and play their game. Right on ZOS!

Yes a big thank you to the ZOS team and to their Sony counterparts that helped out fixing the problem. Things happen sometimes. That's life lol

I'd also like to thank them for their considerations of the lost time rewards. It was something they didn't have to give us but did it anyway.

I was completely surprised when I took a moment to check the status first thing this morning and found the servers were back up already.

Not again :| You know most people don't get thanked for doing their jobs, right?

99.999 percent of people get thanked in the last Riften Poll.

    The "ORIGINAL" 48 hours?

Did you miss the fact it was supposed to be something like 4 hours but thanks to ZOS not testing their build before releasing it on PSN they nearly brought the game down for 3 days.

This is 100% on ZOS not testing the patch build before releasing it, they admitted as much AND they admitted it was thanks to Sony that it got fixed so quickly.

So not only do you have your information completely wrong but youre thanking the wrong people

I don't know where and what culture you live in then, sounds like a horrible place to me. In UK we thank the healthcare professions, cleaners, food delivery people and many more that keep the society running during the pandemic when they are just doing their jobs lol.

Doesn't mean you shouldn't thank them...

If we start thanking people for doing their job and just being nice in general, maybe the world would be a much better place.

If you always do your job right the first time, you'll never be appreciated, just taken for granted.

Absolutely nothing wrong with thanking someone for fixing something regardless of if it is their job or not. Did the overall situation suck? Yes. But they did what they could to make it right and saying “thanks” for that helps them to know that we’re satisfied with how they fixed their issues.

Common courtesy goes a long way 😉

Oh I see. Either you have never read the news (all of us are very grateful to the medical professions for doing their jobs) or walked out to the streets ever in your life. Perhaps you have never said thank you to the barista that made you a coffee, appreciate the bus driver when commuting to school or work, but most of us certainly do and are very grateful with what we have.
