To the person(s) who runs the TEO twitter account

To whoever runs this account: please don't release major news to the community like this.

1. Screenshots of text, especially on weird, irregular background, are hard to read on many mobile devices
2. No image description *
3. No link to an external source for easier reading and better accessibility for people who have difficulties reading texts online or who may need to translate the text to a different language

I know you ZOS people are stressed out and all, but this is Social Media 101.

* Before anyone does an ableism and says image descriptions are just for "blind people" who wouldn't be able to play a game like TESO, it's for anyone with any reading difficulty or visual impairment that cause difficulties reading text online or specifically on social media formats, which includes a wide range of conditions that don't not automatically mean that individual can't play video games (including some people who are blind, since blindness is a broad and complex spectrum of visual impairment and not a simplistic trope).

I agree with all of this. Even on my PC it's not as easy to read as the forum post which has exactly the same text but in an easier to read font and with better contrast against the background. I can read the Twitter image, but if I was given the choice I'd prefer the forum post (or the image text). I'm fairly certain the forum is public - you can read posts without an account or without being signed in so a link to the post would be useful for anyone.

I'd like to point out that they also posted the exact same message here on forum. If one person found it harder to read on the twitter post they could always read it on forum instead.

I'm not disagreeing with you on the whole twitter image thing though. A lot of people/company twitter accounts post images as announcements. It's absolutely ridiculous that they do so but not everyone agrees on that.

I didn't have any trouble whatsoever reading the text against the background.

It's not like it was green text on a purple background or something like that-- which was an actual color combination I once saw used on someone's "home-rolled" website years ago, way back before people started hiring professional web designers to build their sites for them. Now that was unreadable!

In several countries they are breaking disability access laws by doing so when not providing text as well so this is disappointing - but then the entire ESO game is a bit of a disability disaster area, in many parts to be fair due to the age.

After this thread, I went looking. Reading it is not that hard for me, but that doesn't mean it's easy for others to read.

Then again, honestly this is the first time in months (or maybe years) I have bothered with the ESO social media stuff. I'm not into social media of any kind, and I expect to find what I need to know on the official forum.

In other words.... if no company in this world used social media because instead they have an official forum (NOT blog - garbage....) I would be perfectly happy. If ESO chooses to get rid of the official forum, I still won't bother with their crap social media. It's easy enough to find out what you need to know with a simple google search.
