Best class for Dual Wield PvE? Best class for Dual Wield PvP?

I figure a couple of things.
1. Best PvE dual wield class probably wont be the same as the one for PvP.
2. I know 2hand is largely favored over DW for PvP, but I figured a nice DW/2hand combo would work decent for that (even if it wasnt as optimal)
That being said, there are lots of little nuances with each class that are easy to overlook. Passives and such, that could benefit some things more than others. Obviously (unless the guides ive been reading are wrong), going DW would mean making a Stam characters, which also has a pretty big effect on any class skills you end up using.
Just curious what others (especially the more veteran players) think, with the current state of the game, which class would be best suited to make DW work decently and fun.

How about whatever class you fancy - dual wield for pve, 2h for pvp?

✭✭Actually dual wield is a top choice for magicka characters (at least in pve). However, you don't use any dual wield skills, you just take it for slightly higher spell damage and either increased crit chance (daggers) or crit damage (axes) compared to fire staves.
If you want to use aktive dual wield skills, you indeed should go for stamina. Class doesn't matter much in pve. As long as you don't want to go for world records, all of them are quite well balanced. I'd say necro and sorc are the most fun to play, but they can be harder to learn than e.g. templar.
For pvp I don't really want to recomend anything, but my guess would be that warden, necro and sorc are the better half and templar, dk and nb the weaker half.0 -

✭✭✭✭Haven't touched DW in PvP for ages but you can pull some pretty need stuff with e.g. StamSorcs.
DW Master (DSA), Rending Slashes, Crystal Weapon is an good combo. Maybe shove in Vat 2h for even more oomph.
There was also a time where Draugerkin's Grip (the magical set) went smooth with Rapid Strikes. Don't know if that still works.
However, mind that procs are disabled in Cyrodiil. Also take my comment with a grain of caution. Like I said, I don't play DW anymore as main weapon.0 -
MudcrabAttack✭✭✭✭✭The best dual wield weapon set for single target dps in PVE is probably Vateshran, since it gives a very nice execute, and pumps way more dps into parses, but mostly to classes that don't have an execute.
That being said, Nightblade is weaker, since the class strength is based off a built-in execute skill, and Vateshran's skill requirement is redundant.
Necromancer on the other hand also has a built-in execute in the form of having 100% crit during the last 25%, as long as you equip enough grave lord abilities. This synergizes perfectly with Vateshran.
Another very strong class is sorcerer, since both of the clannfear and twilight pets are passively cranking out more dps than ever before, and the free pet damage is always ticking while you spam the insanely strong Vateshran execute ability.1 -

Because Nightblade is Assasin and Rogue.

✭✭✭✭As far as PVP goes, classes with a good class spammable use DW best. Like I always play stamplar with DW as main bar.0
