Bradyfjord✭✭✭✭✭Why would the aedra come to Nirn? They didn't want to make the mundus as it is. The aedra help us poor mortal spirits sometimes, but clearly want as little to do with Nirn as possible.0

But major ones can't really appear as they don't really exist as singular, conscious, immortal beings anymore. That was the price of creating Mundus, their very existance.1 -

✭✭✭Tbh I don't even really understand why people of Tamriel worship Aedra at all. I mean it looks like they never wanted to create Mundus and don't give a flying damn about its existence. Daedric princes, for all their flaws, at least actually do something. Why worship something that really doesn't care and praise it for something it never wanted to do? Only one that seems to have actually done anything useful at any point at all is Akatosh and even that's just a few occasions very far apart.4 -

I always understood the lore as saying that they couldn't interfere in Nirn. Not because they don't want to or being under a pact similiar to the Daedra princes. Rather because they have no physical embodiments so to speak. They can see us and perhaps arrange things that suit them but they can't touch us directly. They may have agents to work their will like the princes but probably not to that level.
