where are my tickets?

So. I did the cake quest today and got the new cake. Then I used it and when it prompted me to collect the tickets,I backed out, because I already had 11/12 tickets. I spend some and used the cake again. But it won't show the tickets again?
How do I get them?

    If you don't take them when they're there, you won't get any more until tomorrow.

    It's supposed to motivate you to spend your tickets as soon as you get 10 or more, so you won't lose any by trying to collect them when you don't have enough free slots for all of the new ones. If you've already bought everything that costs 10 tickets, you can also spend them as soon as you get 2, 3, or 5, depending on how many tickets it costs to buy the other offers.

    Fairly or unfairly, the burden of responsibility has been placed on the player to keep track of how many tickets they have and when they need to spend them. By now, many of us have lost 1 or more tickets by forgetting to spend them in a timely manner, so we feel your pain. I lost 1 ticket during the Midyear Mayhem event by forgetting to spend them when I should have.

    You could contact Customer Support to see if they can help you, but they might not be able to do anything for you.

    I keep track of how many I have on my character/account spreadsheets. I understand there's an addon for that - but I have enough addons I think.

    It’s dumb that are limited to 12 tickets when some things cost 10. We can save up hundreds of Undaunted keys. Why not tickets?

    To force people to do the same boring event quests, year after year.

    Events are designed to spur game activity and keep the game busy. They want you to participate in every event. If you could stockpile tickets, people would just do the events they like and ignore the others. By limiting your tickets, and having event items only available for a limited time, people deplete their tickets quickly, and need to participate in current event if they want more. Also, by running you out of tickets quickly, it makes events friendly to casual players. At the most, you can be 12 tickets behind someone else. It is one thing to feel way behind veteran players for long-term, serious content like PvP and Trials. It is another to feel way behind veteran players for events which are supposed to be simple and fun.

    Impressario things max cost max 10, you can earn 2-3 per day and can hold max 12. If you have 0- 9 tickets do the thing and receive your tickets, if you get to 10+ use your tickets before participating ticketing activities. ZOS obviously does not want people hoarding tickets in advance to skip the events they dislike.

    I myself would allow people earn as many tickets as they want and use em at any time before start of next event and erase any tickets above limit when the next event starts. Same result but more convenient to players. Of course event starting immediately after previous and eating their tickets would still confuse many people.

    Is there an official reason why tickets are limited to 12? A quote from the devs? It’s easy to make up reasons.

    You need official confirmation to observation that earning max 3 per day to buy item costing max 10 you need storage for 12 to not lose any?

    You don't need a dev to "officially" say it. It's the same reason for currency/time/event limits in every online/live-service game.
