No, they shouldn't. It's game breaking for them to be that strong since the mechanic to dethrone them can be completely removed by that one person.
That's not even mentioning that destroying the game for a group of 20+ people to give something "cool" to 1 person in a multiplayer PvP game is just plain dumb. It's a bad mechanic, it's not fun, and any reward for victories gained by the faction should be enjoyed by the faction and not a single person who gets cheat mode enabled.
I killed an Emperor 1 on 1 two days ago. There are certain things that are broken when someone is emperor, but not because emperor is broken itself. Things like bat swarm ult spam and DK banner spam make the emperor using them essentially immortal. It's about a need for those skills being nerfed and not Emperor being nerfed as a mechanic. That player is also #1 on his factions leaderboard, which, fallacies aside, means that he is the best PvP player on that server, in theory. Not only that, but he also earned the hell out of that title (once again, in theory). Taking into account that he is probably vr10 and the majority of those 20 he killed were probably not even vr1, then yeah, I really don't doubt that he stomped you.
If you let a server crown an emperor, they should get those buffs, and, it really is only one guy. If 20 people aren't layering cc's, silences, and damage, then he is free to do as he pleases.
Are you going to attack the server that has the emperor because, every minute he is crowned, your faction is at a disadvantage, or are you going to go attack the weaker faction while the faction with the emperorship runs amok?
This mechanic forces you to attack the strongest faction. Period. If you can't see that it is a really cool mechanic that rewards the top player and inherently creates balance in a 3-faction PvP system, then there is no helping you.
@KingZook, I fixed it for you.it forces bandwagoners to make sure they choose the winning faction, it does not promote PvP for scrubs, only for competitive players.
