Beggars interaction

It bugs me for some time. ZOS puts those beggars that utter those sorrowfull lines like "Only small donation will help" and you can't interact with them. Maybe add ability to interact and donate some gold but instead of giving xp (cause some ppl might exploit it) make an achivement for helping like 500 beggars.

No no, you're doing them a favor by ending their misery :)

Perhaps just invite all the beggars to a banquet.

Yeah, I wish I could give them gold, but I’ve never seen an option to do so. :pensive:

There are certain ones you can give gold too. Like I said there is an achievement for giving to them. I have found one or two so far but I haven't been actively looking.

You have to complete the Thieves Guild quest line to help those beggars.

Once you earn the Coin of Illusory Riches memento, you can shower them in coins whenever they ask! By the time they figure out that they're just convincing illusions, you'll be long gone! ;D

I’ve yet to come across any, and I think I’ve always paused to check if I could interact with any I pass.

That’s a bizarre prerequisite! Maybe my characters who would most like to help are the same who never steal?

Just to be clear, I was just joking about using the memento to "interact" with them. Don't go doing the entire TG quest line on that recommendation, haha.

The beggars in question are indeed unable to be interacted with in any meaningful way, and it bugs me too.

The beggars / people-in-need that you CAN help for the achievement have a slew of spawn points around the base game zones (usually along roads or landmarks) that they randomly spawn at, similar to M'aiq the Liar. The "Destinations" addon can point them out for you, if you're on PC. It's not on by default, but 30 seconds of digging in the addon settings can reveal their spawn points.

Are you signing for a job as Clavicus Vile assistant?

Perhaps just invite all the beggars to a banquet.

And then you can alternatively keep them as houseguests or after a while convert them into companions.

I'd personally like this. Every time I run by one of these beggars I say out aloud, "I'd give you something if I could, but ZOS says no."

As for killing beggars, that's some middle school *** matter up there with the people who thought it was funny to aggro all the killable npcs around the Skywatch entrance and use them to block other players trying to complete the Jester quest.
PC-NA since 2015. Tired and unimpressed.

Giving to a beggar should give you some kind of buff. Like, say, more enlightenment.

Like in Skyrim. You helped them and had The Gift of Charity of 1h to boost Speech for a bit

I'd like the option to give them something as well. I don't care if there's no achievement or reward or whatever, it's just frustrating to keep being asked and unable to do anything about it even if you wanted to.

The first Assassin's Creed game had the same problem, all the planned economy features were cut so you don't even get any money, but they left in the beggars constantly asking you for money. :s
