It's not only about what PvP is not getting it's basically that Blackwood does nothing to actually change the basic combat experience in any discernible way.
In other words, no new skills, weapon line, class, systems - nothing.
In the entire time that I've been playing the game (post-Summerset, pre-Elsweyr), there has not been a single new skill line or weapon added to the game, which is quite remarkable indeed for any MMO (and not in a good way...).
What’s new for veteran / pro PvE players in Blackwood? Pretty much nothing as companions are almost completely useless for them from a gameplay perspective. So yet another Chapter mostly catering to new(er) players.
PvP has been "dying on the vine" for quite some time now. It could be there is something amazing being held underwraps but they don't want to release it until Cyro is somewhat less of a dumpster fire.....but then you can look at the greymoor release.
If there was some feature, it would have been announced and ready to shove out the door on patch day.
Nothing, this is a PvE game with an optional Versus mode.
it was pve game but it changed to role play and housing simulator, and judging by new threads appearing on the forum, with possibility to "romance" with AI aka companions in the nearest future. I would not care about it, as I'm not interested in such things in MMOs, but it' the top priority content now in ESO. PVE end game content and PVP leftovers are necessary evil for still hesitating players. New skin rewarded for finishing vet cauldron looks exactly like pvp and pve atm - some unwanted monstrosity made from leftovers.
More lag but seriously, it's discouraging as a pvper for this game when the devs just simply do not care for pvp, feels like a massive middle finger with every patch. Whenever they try to improve performance, it gets worse somehow. Add new sets, can't use them in Cyrodiil. Hard to get excited about this new update when it's so hollow imo.
