I haven’t played ESO since it first started but I’m back. Can someone tell me the best CLASS to be a Wood Elf archer sneaky/stamina type build?
Is it Warden or Nightblade? I can’t figure it out!

✭✭Any class can sneak and use bows, but some are better at bow/bow builds for DPS because they have more class skills to make up for only using 1 weapon type. Warden's good for it, but really any class could work depending on how much DPS you want.
That being said, nightblade is the only class that can go invisible on command. In PvE, once you're in combat, you can't enter sneak. You can in PvP, but it's a bit unreliable. But if you don't care about going invisible in combat anytime, then play whatever class sounds cool. Warden has a cool forest stalker vibe IMO, and nightblade feels more like a blood & shadow assassin.PC-NA

I like both, but the Warden has a good Bow/Bow build I like for it, so if I had to pick, I would go Warden.0 -

✭✭As others have said, both Warden and Nightblade are good options for Bow Bosmer Builds; it really comes down to which theme you're more into. Want something more assassin-y? Nightblade. Want something more nature-y? Warden.
Just as a subjective opinion, Bosmer fit much better with the Warden theme than Nightblade. I know they're sneaky and all (or, should be anyway) but the whole dark/blood/shadow thing really just doesn't jive as well as the green and vibrant theme Warden has going for it. So consider this post another vote for Warden! ;P0 -
tc91101✭✭✭There are some good videos for Nightblade Vampire Bow/Bow or Bow/2-hand. Don't necessarily need to be a vamp but I think it's suppose to min/max a bit stronger than non-vamp.0

✭✭✭✭✭@Roco32373 Keep in mind, the developers did a race rework and now (for some odd reason) wood elves are no longer sneaky.
The only sneaky race now is Kahjiits, you can get the sneak passive back through champion points, but that is true for all races. So wood elves will always be as sneaky as nords or bretons. And due to the nature of the Imperial race passives, LESS sneaky than an Imperial.

Sneak is more about gear in PvE anyway, sets like Darloc Brae and Night Mother's Embrace help a lot. Night's Silence to let you move fast then sneaking and not an vampire. You can always use invisibly potions too.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.0 -

However the theme don't fit well with Dunmer but fit Bosmer well, say it fit better with Nords than Dunmer.Warden are from wardenfall.
Warden are dark elfs.
Same with necromancers and Khajiit. However unlike warden necromancers plays an part in the zone.

The problem is with racial balance, the developers are not very good with it. They also don’t follow the lore which trips up veterans of the ES games.
Wood Elves thematically fit Wardens quite well, but for people chasing the meta builds, Wood elves are not the first choices in really anything outside of pvp perhaps.
For stam wardens there are better choices. It’s sad and annoying, but it seems like the developers had good ideas for about 1/2 the races, the racials for the others feel a bit “phoned in”.
Wood Elves for basically all stam builds fall in the “Not great, but you could have done worse” category.Edited by BlueRaven on March 31, 2021 12:29PM1
