Hey guys,

hope you are all well and still enjoy your time in ESO!

We're currently in a dungeongroup together, doing achievements and since a while it bugs us that we're unable to do the "failed transfusion" achievement in Moongrave fane. What the achievment tells us to do is "Defeat Nisaazda and Grundwulf without letting Nisaazda use her Blood Ties ability to equalize their health in Veteran Moongrave Fane."

As far as we understand, she is using the Blood Ties ability with the cocoon that she instantly casts around her from time to time. To destroy the cocoon we need to summon one of these hemohelots and then land a heavy attack on it to shoot it on her while she is in the cocoon.

The difficulty that we have here, is that we can't really time when she does the Blood Ties because she seems to do it randomly. We tried as well using Sword&Shield as the HA is faster there than with other weapons, but this didn't help either. Today for example I was starting the heavy attack directly when she had the cocoon on her, but that is too late. On the other hand: If I cast it too early, then it's wasted and afterwards she's doing the cocoon.

Also we're running atm in the constellation 1x Tank, 1x Healer and 2x DD. We have DK Tank and DK Heal, MagBlade and MagWarden.

I saw a video of guys doing the achievement, but as far as I could see they were doing a 3x DD run and also had all buffs like colossus, werewolf for heavy attacking the orb and killing her directly after interrupting the cocoon 1x. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FCPDzQ8u7Q&ab_channel=HELL%27LLEYWORLD

Our current problem is, that our fight is longer, so it seems incredibly hard to time this orb multiple times.

Do you have any more tips for us or can you tell if it's currently even possible to do this achievement?

Failed Transfusion is the "health-equalizing" ability that the boss has on that fight.

Keep Grundwulf and Nisaazda within 5% of the same health the whole time, she won't cast the ability, and you're good to go.

(or burn super fast so she never does the mechanic, which is most likely how the 3DD group did it)

Thank you sooooo much, you saved us!

With that tip, we simply tanked both bosses together and both DD were paying attention that their life was always almost the same. This worked for us and we got it.

Thank you so much for your help! <3
