Red Eagle's Flight Achievement bugged?

I jumped from the highest point in Lost Valley (same spot as an achievement for skyrim I believe) and not getting achievement. Asked zone and got mixed responses, some said worked when they died, some said worked when they hit water and lived.

I've done it 5 times. once hitting water and living, three times hitting different spots and dying and a fifth time launching myself far off on my mount and dying. Still no achievement.

Is there a secret trick I'm missing or a different spot I should jump from? Or is this bugged?

Up to ten jumps now, with little variations, jumping off right, left, living and dying, etc. Still no luck, though people in zone have gotten it.

Can't tell you, got it on the second try, was to much on the right the 1st time.
I've aim close to rock near the waterfall, I think staying alive or not doesn't matter like all of these achievement (i've died when I did it, both time).

maybe i'll try it again, i got irritated after ten tries and took a break, it shouldn't be this finicky IMO

I don't know if this will help or not, but people in Zone Chat were saying to jump off the Waterfall. And so that's what I did, I just walked off the waterfall on the right-side and I even hit/bounced off the rocks on the way down so it wasn't a "clean" jump. I landed/splashed-down alive and got the achievement in that one try. But like you said, it could just be finicky and I might've just gotten lucky. Good luck @xaraan ! 🤞🍀👍

Made sens, my second jump where I succeed was very close to the waterfall too

I got it from jumping off the waterfall to the right of the platform, after many failed attempts from the peak itself.

Walk don't run or jump and you'll get the achieve.

I jumped off between the rocks to the left waterfall, bounced, died, got the achievement... ^^;;

This. After many splats, this is the correct location. Not the actual highest point.

Someone I met there showed me how he got it by crouching and then walking off the platform. That didn't work for me, but stepping from the waterfall did.

I went "splat" on most of my attempts. The one that got me the achievement was one in the the course of which I had died.

OK, got it finally, followed the recommendation to try going off the right side of the platform. What's funny is it took three times of me doing it exactly that way for it to work.

Between that and all the different responses I've gotten in here and zone, there is definitely something buggy about it IMO.

Got it the first time by jumping and barely landing in the pool below. Almost hit the edge of the small pool and died lol.

I've done this successfully with every character I've tried it on. The only times I didn't get it on the first try was when I jumped.
Even if I died, I still got the achievement when I didn't jump off the edge, but just walked.

Sounds close to how I got it on the last alt doing a skyshard run in the area..
& yes, I bounced down the rocks too...

1. Elder Scrolls Online does not have bugs. It has "features".
2. You have to walk off the waterfall. Tested a lot. Waterfall. For sure.

yeah, it have feature since release...you need to stand, wolk off special place and fall through specific point to get this, simple achievement but to do it you need knowledge how to do or otherwise you will never be able to complete this without luck

Got this by accident yesterday: I tried short-cutting from a "cleanse the alter" Wayward Guardian's daily quest to the Gloomreach delve daily, and fell to my death from the top of the waterfall. Definitely didn't jump, probably shielded and tiptoed hoping to bounce down safely.
