Leaked! Official user guide for ranged DD's

So you have decided to become a ranged DD. Please read this step by step user guide and follow this simple instructions.
How to be a ranged DD:
For PVE content: Run around doing light attacks with bow or staff all the time, even if there is no enemies around.
Hit mobs and boss with said light attacks and start panicking, running around like a headless chicken (very important, run away from heals).
Run ahead with the speed of light and pull everything before the slow tank have a chance to catch up.
Die on a regular basis and wonder why tank and healer is doing such a bad job keeping you alive.
For PVP play:
Snipe, snipe and snipe.
Congratulations, you are now a ranged DD, enjoy

Not even a very good rant. If you were going for humor, you missed. OPs name does fit.
I have played a ranged DPS since launch and do none of those things. Sounds like you need some friends in game to play with. I suggest a good beginner friendly guild.3 -

You want to elevate your game always stand behind the healer. No matter where the healer goes make sure the healer is between you and the boss.
With mobs make sure the healer is between you and the tank.and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."7 -

✭And for trash fights, remember acid spray is the best ability in the game. You don't need anything else, just acid spray. The sooner you acid spray all the mobs, the better. Be ready to run ASAP though, the mobs HATE being acid sprayed and the tank usually forgets to AOE taunt them before they can chase you.2 -

✭✭✭✭✭Make sure you stand back for maximum range during boss fights where the boss specifically attacks the farthest person away. Bonus points if the boss jumping on you pulls it out of someone else's ultimate!5 -

Rush ahead of the tank.
Make sure to tag everything.
Yell at the tank & healer for not doing their jobs, while waiting to be rezzed.
(step 4 doesn't apply to ESO: Roll Need on all the melee weapon drops. After all, you Need the gold from vendoring them.)

Aside from LA weaving and throwing down a hail of arrows, that's pretty much how I do trash mobs in random normals Bow-bow nightblade doesn't have any other AOE abilities to speak of, and acid spray is 100% effective in getting very high dps on trash mobs (higher than a lot of other classes that AOE with things like wall of elements). 1 -
