Are the drops worthwhile? Or just more Crown chicken to toss in the pile?

One thing I'm still a little confused about is how many drops we're supposed to be able to earn during these drop campaigns.

When I look at this drop campaign's details on Twitch, it says "Quantity: Unlimited," which kind of makes it sound like you're supposed to be able to earn multiple drops, 1 every 30 minutes. I realize that this would be unreasonable to expect, since in theory you could earn up to 96 drops by watching for 48 hours, and that would never be allowed to happen.

I'm guessing that "unlimited" refers to when the "same" campaign reappears on future dates, because I've noticed that most of my past drops are being shown under the same campaign as the current one, but I've also got a few drops showing under two other campaigns, so it appears that the drop campaigns are categorized by things like which streams you need to watch (e.g., any ESO stream vs. a Bethesda stream), how long you need to watch (e.g., 15 minutes vs. 30 minutes), and how many drops you can earn (e.g., 1 per day vs. a maximum of 3). So "unlimited" must mean that this particular category of campaign has no restriction on how many drops you can earn throughout all past, present, and future occurrences of this campaign, even though each specific occurrence of the campaign does in fact have a limited quantity of drops.

But in the past we could typically earn 1 drop per day, so a drops weekend might allow us to earn 3 drops-- 1 on Friday, 1 on Saturday, and 1 on Sunday.

And even under the new system, under which Bethesda/ZOS seems to be excluding Fridays, we could sometimes earn at least 2 drops-- 1 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. But I noticed that those weekends usually split the campaign into 2 discrete days-- a 24-hour campaign on Saturday and a separate 24-hour campaign on Sunday. Lately there's been just 1 campaign that spans 48 hours, and we can earn only 1 drop during that entire period. I guess that's by design, rather than an accident?

People keep telling me it's one every 24 hours, but mine doesn't update no matter how many times I log in and out/refresh etc.

    Used to get 1 - 3 per 3 day weekend, now it's 1.

Supposed to be on Twitch, but not sure why it would be in Twitch's favour to limit drops.

    Mmhmm.

I'm also under the impression now that it's just 1 drop per such a weekend.

This is sadly quite less than what we used to be able to receive, it was up to 3 drops per weekend I believe. I used to be excited about these, but now we're rarely getting any gems and in such tiny amounts that it make it painfully slow to save up for something nice.

Would be great if we could have as many opportunities for drops from our lovely streamers as we used to have.
