Ballgroups causing lag

Since the new patch PvP in eu noCP was actually amazing until Monday when multiple ballgroups started running again. I didn't play yesterday but again today, multiple ballgroups up, even trying to 1vs1 1/4 of the time skills don't work.

    Chalk this up to "nothing new" because they refuse to address ball groups. Either they can't do anything about them mechanically or they don't want to.

    No "solo" players that faction stack everywhere are causing the lag.

    Perhaps there's a cause an effect at play here although I doubt it. In the last few weeks I've fought in many large, medium and small scale fights with little lag, however this week when the ballgroups are back in force the game is running like ***.

    This evening my faction appeared to be ignoring the ballgroups invading our keeps and still it was unplayable. Had to stop playing after I couldn't even fight 1vs1. Far way from any ball.

    i think zos needs to nerf solo play gamestyle, theres too many ppl around me. everytime i play in my ballgroup, its soo laggy i cant cast any of my skills

    Before the patch (during the tests) the lag was equally bad - maybe worse - even when ballgroups werent playing.

    Maybe the real issue is that the server can't handle more than 40 players?

    The server can handle it fine. Right now in NA grey host dc and ep are at 3 bars, ad at 2. Dc has 3 ball groups and ep 1. Only a little lag. Yesterday for a few hours there wasn't any ball groups and all factions were at 3 bars and there was no lag at all. When you throw in 5+ ball groups lag starts to get bad.

    We know ball groups cause more lag than individual players just by nature of their skills. Far more aoes both damaging and healing. Far more lag spikes with aoe and ult dumps.

    Maybe you only notice how bad the lag is affecting you when you fight a ballgroup, they are much more punishing of any lag induced miss-steps than a pug group of the same size.

    I'm not referring to that. I'm on about the lag caused by ballgroups its server wide. It means I and the rest of the server cant play the game because a few groups want to run around synchronising their spamming of aoes.
