I need people for scientific eso research

TheRealSkippy
Hey everybody,

to clear some may upcoming questions, first, about me:
I am loving this game (expecting all the bugs) and I am going to play it for a very long time (EU Server), also I study computer science and am from Germany, but I like to keep things international. I will do some add-ons later, when I have time (studying is very time consuming atm) and I have a guild, which will probably change its name later and will have a website with guides, maps and other stuff you cannot find right now, ...

... and this is where I can hook in with my question.
As you all know (at least the people who tried to find information about this), there is not a lot of information about how different skills interact, how the damage is calculated, etc. .
There is A LOT that is not clear, but can be figured out, and here is where I need help.
To test, for example, different skills, styles, attacks, armor values, attack dmg values, weapon speed and much more, for PvP, I need people who want to do this together, from another realm.
With that, actually everything is said.
I am going to publish and "Eso research paper" with that information, and if you or your guild wants to join, there will be a nice logo or link from you / your guild within it.

If youare interested, send me a pm, or write here.

Thx and regards,
Skippy

@TheRealSkippy Will there be an add-on involved that one would have to use?
  • TheRealSkippy
    have to use for what?

In this research you will be attempting. Will we need an add-on to gather data? How do you plan to go about finding the values you are looking for?
  • TheRealSkippy
I don't think so, for the start it will be just simple testing and analysing. If I have the time, maybe I do an add-on which helps, but I don't think this will be necessary

I think you're going to need an add-on, or your analysis will be simple conjecture. Even if you don't write your own, you may need to use something like Foundry Tactical Combat etc... to gather the needed data.

Don't underestimate the work required to do this, i.e. a single build using a single armor set and weapon set has enough variables to scare a statistician, and you're talking about every build, every armor set, every weapon set... youch.

I'm gathering data about crafted percentages and min/maxing myself. There's a lot that's not known and I'll contribute what I find.
