I really do not like the new mini-game of changing out the slotted Green (crafting) Stars as I play the game so I can get the benefit of having the CP's I placed in them.

Also the Constellation trees are difficult to follow. Also if you have any non-allocated CP's and you go to swap a star, you have a high probability of removing a point which causes the removal of a great many of the allotted points. So you have to reset them all. maybe this is just going to be during the 2 week free respect, but it is a horrible design flaw.

I don't know yet, as it's yet to hit console and I don't play on PTS. But from what I've read it sounds like a real mess. I'm not looking forward to it at all.

Wait, are you pressing F to redistribute every time you want to swap equipped stars? You don't need to do that. Just drag and drop the desired star and then press R to confirm.

I harvest as I run around and do fighting so having the harvesting and gains from chest and such be as many it is sucks.

I'm not going to change my harvesting when I find a node or change my chest when I find a chest! It takes way to long!

Movement speed and all the other things (7) take way to many slots to get the benefit from the CP I have to spend!

Waste of CP with slotables for the crafting.

Most of my CP is wasted!!!!

I like the new perks better. I never saw a build even mentioning 90% of the old systems perks.

Power creep is only important for PVP also and I don't care about PVP!

This change is again based off PVP fixing but will not fix it!

I just don't understand what I am supposed to look forward to in regards to gaining more CP. My slots are full and other than filling out a few passives, the rest of my cp will be absolutely useless since I'm not going to be changing up my offensive defensive stars hardly at all. I'm at like 1230 CP and I still feel pretty "done" in regards to what I am able to get from CP.

The idea was to tone down the power creep. That's why we only have 4 slots and weaker stars. If you could slot all or everything was made passives then what's the point of 2.0 lol. You need to make choices now. Pick what's the most important to you.
I like the new system. Brings low cp and high cp closer. Dps difference between 0 cp and 3600cp is only 20%. Now people cant use their lower cp as excuse anymore. [snip]

    [Edited to remove Baiting]

No more power creep for them crafter/farmers too, awesome huh? No more Sub will be Awesome too!

We have progression now - I hate it!

My progression was all backwards since I was at CP 850 when the patch hit me. Instant nerf. I do notice the DPS loss and the defense loss. Who would guess that?

So I am saving some money every Month (that's partly why I only get 1 month subscriptions) to use for an extra pizza that shall not be named.

    That pizza never disappoints.

    1. They nerfed everyone across the board
    2. They made it require thousands of more hours to get to the top, which still results in a net nerf to power.
    3. They made CP require constant switching to do simple things like harvest, craft, or open chests

    Pros:
It'll be something new to grind for next year.

There are some major advantages to this CP 2.0-system, there are also some downsides.

    Positives:
    -Infinite sustain, mainly solo.
-We now have every role slightly build into our characters.
-The CP system does more to enforce roles.
-Every build works if you choose your CP right(for a specific role).
-We can use more CP we gained.
-Our CP choices matter, as we can't switch on the fly.
-Seemed to improve server performance by miles!
-We can switch roles easier when we have more CP(more nodes filled).
-We can see another player's CP points above their heads again. ( really did miss this )

    Negatives:
-The CP tree is huge now, and takes some getting used to.
-The green tree should all be passives, and not actives. Asking us to switch CP before certain activities, or when repairing, was not a smart decision.

So overall it is a major improvement over the old system.

All I know is that I got weaker.
I hope ZoS doesn't think this is how you make overworld a bit more difficult because they're still just brainless and soulless NPCs.

I know we can get more CP but why if we only have so many slots. The way it is implemented it only seems to benefit ESO by having us play more to get more CP but with the slot idea the benefit is very limited.

I lost a bunch of value from the experience that I lost because I kept the same number of points.

I now have so slot skills to be benefit and don't have enough points or slots to get the same crafting enhancements as I had before. For example I need to ahve 7 slots to be able to slot all the things I had before.

Do I have to pay gold to change slotted items? Even if I don't it's a major hassle to have to change things out. I have have to pay gold it's a major suck!!

The descriptions of what things effect also sucks. I am not into a bunch of testing and calculating to play a game that I play for fun to get a good build!!!

The craft tree is the worst!! I have 7 things to slot to get what I had before but only 4 slots!! Most of these should not be slot things!

With my stamina characters I have items for all 4 slots right now but only 1 slot needed on my magicka characters!

I didn't gain anything from the change and when my sub runs out I think I will not renew any of my three accounts!

    The slot idea sucks majorly!!!!

And you won't until you reach 3600 (which is what you are really mad about) and the full system is in place. Currently only Blue has sub systems the other ones are going to as well. So you are angry over a system that isn't even technically complete, but you need to test a system of this size against more than just a public test server can offer.

My guess is when the chapter launches it will be fully fleshed out. If you play a decent amount of time you will be at least mid 2000 cp probabably and just trying to find places to point the points you have cause everything else will be maxed out.

It also lets them expand more on the system as now that it runs by stages and not percentages you can't as easily cheat the system.

It is not boring anymore, without 810 and the setups everyone knew for each run etc. Now we get to figure out what our tiny bit of CP can get, we get to pug with people who spent all their points on wayfare cost reduction and more gold in chest etc.. new challenges awake.

The only positive I see is that with enough CP you can switch role without having to use gold. Shame it's unlikely I'd get to 2k+ since I've done all quests already.

Not sure what that has to do with anything? I'm guessing if you started a new account you would have all the quests done before cp 1000 anyway. You are going to have to grind the vast majority of the CP, but it really doesn't take that long. I play a few hours maybe 3-4 a night and I've gained almost 100 cp already.

I'm recently back to the game, and this new system has me totally lost. I've been trying to decide if it's worth sticking around and relearning everything, or if I should just move on to something else.

And I just realized I necroed this thread. I do apologize.
