I wanted to do all the quests again in order of when my first character did them but all my characters have done quests kind of haphazard. I started a 2nd account to do the quests on and am having a blast doing them again from the start. I did cheat a little bit and leveled the psijic line so I can get the portals as I go through each zone but the rest I am doing the same. When I did it the first time we had to be a certain level to advance the main quest so I finished that one earlier than I did on my first character. I'm doing the guild quest lines now along with the zone quests.

My first character was in the Daggerfall alliance so I am still doing those zones in the same order they were in when I started. Will go to Cadwell's Silver next.

I still have my first account to do all the other stuff on. If you think you want to skip around some with dungeons, pledges trials and/or PvP you might start a 2nd character for that and then you still have this one to do the stories in some kind of order.

As I mentioned above the main story early in the game was stretched out over time. A player could well be into other zones and a good part of the guild lines before finishing the main story. The main story is mostly stand alone so it won't wreck other things if you finish it first or wait a bit.

Each zone has its own story line to follow. The side quests in each zone kind of add flavor to the main quest line in that zone but don't affect the outcome. I use this as example. In A Christmas Story Flick gets his tongue stuck on a flag pole. That doesn't affect in any way whether or not Ralphie gets his BB gun but it adds to the story. Those are the side quests.

I agree with Stewhead. Go at your own pace and enjoy the game. Explore every zone all kinds of fun stuff to do and see.
