Inspiration - Experience?

I'm unclear - for level 50 crafters, does more inspiration from turning in writs add to the experience gained? I thought it might add to the XP and tried with and without that green inspiration passive, and it didn't seem to make a difference in XP gained one way or another. If not, there's no advantage at all from that passive for L50 crafter?

✭✭Once you max out a crafting line, inspiration does absolutely nothing. It's literally the xp that levels your crafting line.1
