Base line for new CP tree's

I have a question 
In our old CP tree, the max or base was 810 CP's.
Now the base line is 2000 CP's
Why did zos take and penalize all the players that had maxed the old cp at 810 and not give them enough pts to be back to the base 2000 on the new tree ?
This is my question TY.

Why would they increase the cap if you are automatic raised to the new cap again? if thats the case they could have stayed at the lower cap und just tweak it couldnt they?
the reason behind the CP rework is, among other reasons, to give players the sense of progression back, since it got kinda stale beeing at the 810 for years.
also im not sure where you got this 2k baseline from?1 -
Chivana✭✭✭All they did was to increase the "Cap" from 810 to 1800, just like all the times before, when they increased it by 30 points with various updates.
Actually now you can level up to CP 3600, so 1800 is not really a cap like 810 before. But from 1800 on the xp for the next level increases by 150 %.
Xp to next level = ((current CP / Cap ^ 0,995) + 0,085) * 400000 * (current CP > Cap ? 1,5 : 1,0)
In all MMOs I ever played there was no xp gain after reaching max level (CP 810). The difference is that here in ESO the xp was still counted and visible in form of a CP count higher than the "Cap".
Just imagine that 810 was the max level with no further xp gain, and be happy that you can level and improve your char again, all the way to 3600, with leveling getting even more painful after 1800. And you can start at your current CP, not at the former max level 810, like you had to when usual MMOs raise the max level.

Now then I had available in the old system to have certain abilities, I EARNED by playing for 6 yrs.
Now I can't have them ?
Plus those skill tree's are stupid, especially the green tree.
Why make things so difficult ?
Someone spent a hole lot of time for another pos and IMO you screwed every ESO Plus member that has been loyal from the start.
